Amazfit Arc Smartband

Huami Amazfit Arc A1603 Smartband - fitness bracelet

The Amazift A1603 Arc Smartband is a fitness bracelet created in collaboration between Xiaomi and the wearable manufacturer Huami. Among other things, Huami produces the popular Mi band for the Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi, which is why the Amazfit Smartband could certainly be interesting. All information about the fitness bracelet we collected in this post.

Huami Amazfit Arc

Calling the Amazfit A1603 Arc fitness bracelet as a Xiaomi product is not entirely correct. Although the wearable is often advertised with the Xiaomi add-on, the electronics giant is only a well-known investor in the Huami company. Huami himself sells his products under the name Amazfit and could at the latest with the Amazfit Pace Smartwatch make a name. By the way - the Amazfit A1603 fitness bracelet is not a new product! The wearable has been sold through Amazon USA since November 2016.

Amazfit Smartband A1603 specifications

Waterproof and with OLED

Visually, the fitness bracelet is reminiscent of a mix of Fitbit Alta and Xiaomi Mi Band 2 . The bracelet closes with a pin buckle, is made of silicone and is only available in black. The tracking unit cannot be separated from the bracelet, so that it is not possible to replace the bracelet in the event of a defect. The OLED display has a diagonal of 0.42 inches and is equipped with a touchscreen. The color representation is limited to black and white. According to protection class IP67, the wearable is protected against dust and temporary immersion. Showering and washing dishes won't harm the fitness tracker, but you shouldn't swim with it.

Tracker, heart rate monitor and battery

The Amazfit Arc fitness bracelet is similar to the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 fitted. An integrated step counter counts the daily steps and uses this to calculate the distance covered and the calories burned. A GPS module for determining position is not available. The current heart rate can be determined using an optical heart rate monitor. It should be noted that optical heart rate monitors, which measure the heart rate by means of an LED and photodiode, do not provide 70% results. The collected data is conveniently synchronized with the smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. There is the Amazfit Activity Tracker app for the graphic display, which also offers extensive functions, such as a sleep monitor and notification functions. The battery of the Amazfit Arc Smartband has a capacity of 20 mAh and, according to Huami, should last for 3 days. The manufacturer specifies the charging time as XNUMX hours.
