ILIFE A6 suction robot
The vacuum robot brand that was once sold under the name “Chuwi ILIFE”, which is now only marketed under “ILIFE”, is expanding to include another model: the ILIFE A6. There are now more than 10 models of the ILFE A and V series available, which differ primarily in details. It is precisely these small subtleties that people try to make palatable with terms like “Gen 2 CyclonePower 3-Stage System” or “BladeAway”.
Gen 2 Cyclone Power3-Stage System
Sounds cool at first, but what's behind it? This term means the combination of the two side brushes and the main brush (3 stage) as well as the vacuum cleaner motor. So there is no special technology behind it. Mainly a more powerful motor was installed, which, in contrast to the other models, achieves a suction power of 1.000 Pa.
BladeAway rubber brush
The so-called BladeAway brush of the ILIFE A6 is more of an innovation. In contrast to the previously used round brush with plastic bristles, this model is the first to use a round brush with rubber blades, similar to the products from iRobot. The advantage of such a rubber roller is that dirt and trapped hair can be removed more easily. In addition, other robotic vacuum cleaners with rubber brushes have already shown that dust in particular is vacuumed more efficiently.
Invisible wall, floor roll and volume
With the ILIFE X5 The manufacturer also introduced the “Invisible Wall”. This can be used to separate an area that the robot vacuum cleaner does not drive over during its cleaning tour. One unit is included in the scope of delivery as an accessory. A rather inconspicuous innovation is the small floor roller, which is located opposite the control roller. According to ILIFE, this achieves even better traction and makes it easier to drive over smaller obstacles such as carpet edges. The removable dust chamber of the ILIFE A6 has a capacity of 0.3 liters. The two integrated HEPA filters are replaceable. There is no wet mopping function.
Design, control and battery
ILIFE specifies the dimensions of the vacuum robot as 30.50 x 30.50 x 8.00 cm. The weight is 2.550g. The glass top with an illuminated power button provides a special, visual note. The A6 can be controlled via a remote control, which is also included in the scope of delivery. Control via app is not supported. Various cleaning modes can be started using the remote control, ranging from structured to random. An intelligent room recognition similar to that Xiaomi suction robot there is not any! Only the sensors for detecting obstacles and landings are available. The battery of the ILIFE A6 has a capacity of 2.600 mAh. The possible runtime is 160 minutes. When the battery charge is exhausted, the robot hoover automatically finds its way back to the charging station.
