Ambilight for retrofitting ?! The Govee Immersion backlight turns an ordinary television into an Ambilight TV in just a few steps. For the DIY Ambilight, the Goove Immersion Kit contains two 70 cm and two 120 cm RGBIC-LED strips that only have to be attached behind the television. Televisions with a size of 55 to 65 inches are suitable.
The correct color representation is achieved with the help of the "1080p ColorSense camera", which is simply plugged into the television. After briefly adjusting to the screen size, the camera recognizes the colors displayed and passes the signal on to the light strip. By the way, the camera is included in the scope of delivery.
Extensive control is made possible via the Govee Home app. All Govee devices can be configured, managed and controlled via this. Functions of the Govee Immersion backlight are film & music sync, various scene modes, a DIY mode and RGBIC lighting effects. In addition to the Govee Home app, the backlight can also be controlled via voice commands (Amazon Alexa and Google Home).
