"Core Edition"
The "CE" in the name of the new Nord smartphone stands for "Core Edition". OnePlus has made it its mission to combine the “core elements of a mid-range smartphone” in one device. The result is the OnePlus Nord CE 5G, which on the one hand offers good technical features but remains affordable with a starting price of 299 euros.
A lot of power with the Snapdragon 750G
Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chip works in the new Nord smartphone, which can be assigned to the upper middle class with a clear conscience. Belonging to the Snapdragon G-Series, the chip is especially optimized for mobile gaming. The Snapdragon 750G is also fast on the move in mobile communications. Here you can look forward to future-proof 5G reception. Other connection standards are Dual-AC WiFi and Bluetooth 5.1. Paying mobile with the smartphone is made possible by NFC.
When it comes to storage, you can choose between 6GB, 8GB or 12GB RAM (LPDDR4X) and 128GB or 256GB data storage (UFS2.1). There is no memory expansion option. The 4500 mAh battery promises long runtimes, which can be charged from 30 to 30 percent in just 0 minutes using the Warp Charge 70T Plus fast charging technology. On the software side, you can expect the proprietary OxygenOS 11 user interface based on Android 11.
90 Hz AMOLED display
The 6,43 inch AMOLED display with a 20: 9 aspect ratio offers plenty of space for surfing, gaming or watching videos. Individual pixels will not be recognized due to the high resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (410 PPI). Another advantage is the 10-bit color depth (HDR10 +), the content is particularly crisp. The display is particularly fluid thanks to the 90 Hz refresh rate of the AMOLED.
64MP triple camera
The camera equipment of the new OnePlus Nord CE 5G also promises a lot. The triple camera on the back consists of a 64MP main camera with f / 1.79 aperture, an 8MP ultra wide angle camera with 119 ° wide angle and a 2MP monochrome camera for bokeh recordings.
The camera modes of the OnePlus camera app allow more variety when taking photos. Mention should be made of the Nightscape mode, which improves the recording quality in the dark, adapts the AI scene recognition, the camera and image settings to the respective situation and the Pro mode, which has full control over white balance, ISO, focus, shutter speed and other camera settings.
The main camera of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G records videos in high 4K resolution. For the 16MP front camera, OnePlus relies on the tried and tested Sony IMX471 image sensor, which has already proven its capabilities in other OnePlus models.

The OnePlus Nord CE 5G is from June 21, 2021 and in the colors Charcoal Ink, Silver Ray and Blue Void on OnePlus.com, Amazon.de, Sparhandy.de and DeinHandy.de available. The price starts at 299 euros for the model with 6 + 128GB storage. OnePlus charges 8 euros for the model with 128 + 329GB. In the final configuration with 12 + 256GB, 399 euros are due.
