Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite - economy model of the Mi 10 Series

Xiaomi also presented a Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite at the Europe Event. In contrast to the two expensive high-end smartphones of the Mi 10 Series, the Lite costs almost half. But there is "only" a Snapdragon 765G with 5G support and a quad camera with 48 megapixel resolution. You can find all details about the Mi 10 Lite mid-range smartphone in the article.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite

The Mi 10 Lite is the third smartphone in the new Mi 10 Series. In contrast to the other two models, which have already been available in China for a few weeks, this smartphone is a new introduction. The Mi 10 Lite should appear in the coming weeks. There is no concrete market launch yet. However, the price should start at 349 euros.

AMOLED display with waterdrop notch

The Mi 10 Lite follows in the footsteps of the Mi 9 Lite. This is noticeable as soon as you take a look at the front. Instead of a punch-hole display, the economy model of the Mi 10 Series relies on a classic notch that surrounds the front camera. The AMOLED display has a diagonal of 6,57 inches and has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. You have to do without the display extras of the high-end Mi 10 models, such as a 90 Hz refresh rate or more than 1200 cd / m² display brightness. But there is an extra. A fingerprint scanner is also hidden under the display.

48 MP quad camera system

The rear layout of the main camera is a bit like that Redmi Notes 9S comparable. Here, too, the 4 cameras are stacked in pairs on top of each other. As far as the sensors are concerned, Xiaomi is unfortunately still a little covered. It is known that the main camera has a resolution of 48 MP. Presumably it is the Sony IMX586 sensor, which was already used in the predecessor. The remaining sensors are most likely a telephoto lens sensor, a depth sensor, and a macro sensor. Information on the resolution of the front camera is also missing.

Snapdragon 765G processor

The Mi 765 Lite's Snapdragon 10G processor is in the upper mid-range segment. A prime core with a clock rate of up to 2,4 GHz and a gold core with a clock rate of up to 2,2 GHz are responsible for tasks that demand performance from the smartphone. In addition to this performance cluster, there is an economical cluster with 6 Cortex-A55 cores that clock at up to 1,8 GHz. Depending on the power requirements, the smartphone can switch and manage the individual cores.

In order not to sweat so quickly while gaming, the system-on-chip is also equipped with an Adreno 620 graphics unit. Hence the “G” in the name, which stands for “Gaming Performance”. The Adreno 620 GPU is powerful and can also handle current mobile games. The memory is of type LPDDR4X and UFS 2.1. It is not yet known which memory sizes the smartphone will be available in.

5G connectivity

What Xiaomi learns, however, is that a 5G modem is on board. So you are future-proof with the Mi 10 Lite in mobile communications. It remains to be seen whether the new WiFi 6 standard can be expected. Xiaomi has also not commented on the Bluetooth standard and NFC.

4160 mAh battery and 20 watt charging function

Finally, a few words about the battery. This is 4160 mAh and can be charged with up to 20 watts. It is unlikely that the battery can also be charged wirelessly.

What do you think of the Mi 10 Lite and are you considering buying it? From there in the comments!

Looking forward to the Lite, but I hope the memory can be expanded and that there is NFC. Do you already know more about this? LG Lukas
