ILIFE V7S Plus
The vacuum robot brand "ILIFE", which once originated from the Chinese electronics manufacturer "Chuwi", now includes a wide range of suction aids that are also very popular in this country. In addition to models from the low-price segment (e.g Chuwi ILIFE V5 ), the manufacturer also carries numerous models from the medium price segment under the designation ILIFE V7 or V7S. The ILIFE V7S Plus is now the third model in the V7S series. The robot vacuum is currently still on sale in advance. Nevertheless, we have already looked at the data sheet.
Sucking and wiping
Dust and water tank in one!
The appearance of the robot vacuum is based on the previous models. The circular plastic case in rose gold paint has a diameter of 34 cm, is 8.4 cm high and weighs 3 kg. The combination of dust container and water tank is new. Instead of two separate containers, you only get one container with a capacity of 0.36 liters. The container is divided into a 0.3 liter water chamber and a 0.06 liter dust chamber. The manufacturer hopes that this will result in greater efficiency, and depending on the application, there is no longer any need to switch between the two containers.
Compared to the ILIFE V7S Pro it would still be a powerful downgrade. Although this offers two separate containers, these have a significantly higher capacity of 0.5 or 0.4 liters with the same size. A dust chamber with only 0.06 liters of dust capacity would probably have to be emptied several times during a vacuuming process. Efficiency looks different! There are good prospects regarding the accessory compatibility of the V7S models with each other. The V7S and V7S Pro models have already shown that the containers are compatible with each other. It is quite possible that the dust container from the predecessor, which is available separately, can also be used in the V7S Plus.
I-dropping technology
"i-dropping technology". As soon as the vacuum robot moves, water is released drop by drop onto the microfiber cloth. If the vacuum robot stands still, the water supply is stopped. This enables a more even and long-lasting water distribution or water supply. The wiper and holder are removable for easy cleaning.
Suction power and modes
The suction power of the ILIFE V7S Pro is 400 Pa. The volume reaches an impressive 68 dB. A brush attached to the side transports the dirt to the middle main brush, which can also grow hair thanks to additional rubber slats. The four classic suction profiles “Auto”, “Spot”, “Edge” and “Schedule” are included. In contrast to the older ILIFE models, cleaning in auto mode no longer occurs randomly. An implemented artificial intelligence (AI) ensures fully automatic and systematic room cleaning. In spot mode, the robot vacuum works its way forward in circular movements. In Edge mode, the robot vacuum orientates itself on the boundaries of the room. Schedule mode is a cleaning mode based on an individually definable schedule.
The robot hoover masters inclines of up to 15 °. The manufacturer does not provide any information up to what height carpet edges can be driven over. When the vacuuming process has ended, the robot vacuum automatically returns to the charging station (return-to-home).
Crash and collision protection
To prevent collisions and falls from stairs, the robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with a total of 11 sensors. Sensors mounted on the front ensure that the ILIFE V7S Plus changes direction before a collision. If a collision cannot be prevented, an additional “bumper” ensures obstacle detection. Sensors on the underside prevent you from driving over stairs or other edges. This means that the robot vacuum cleaner can also be used easily in areas with stair access. The sensor system is of the infrared type. There is no laser or camera room detection.
Battery and running time
The built-in lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 2600 mAh. One battery charge is sufficient for a running time of approximately 120 minutes. The manufacturer specifies the charging time as 5 hours. As soon as the battery level is low, the robot vacuum automatically returns to the charging station (return-to-home).
ILIFE V7S Plus Vs. ILIFE V7S Pro

To call the ILIFE V7S Plus an upgrade of the recently released ILIFE V7S Pro would probably be a mistake. Much more, ILIFE dares a new attempt with the Plus model and focuses on the (wet) wiping function of the robot. Thanks to the i-dropping technology and the combination of dust and water containers, interesting approaches are also understandable. It is important to take a critical look at the lower suction power, the very high volume and the low capacity of the dust chamber.
The vacuum robot is on sale until the end of April. The advance booking price is just under € 170. As soon as we receive a test copy of the ILIFE V7S Plus, this preview will of course be followed by a detailed test report.
