OPPO watch
It was only at the beginning of 2020 that OPPO's Vice President Brian Shen teased a render shot of an OPPO smartwatch on the Chinese microblogging service Weibo. After that, everything went very quickly and just a few months after the announcement, the OPPO Watch appeared on the Chinese market. After standing still for a long time, it is now Germany's turn to look forward to the WearOS-based OPPO Watch. The OPPO Watch can be ordered in black with a black fluororubber strap including a magnetic charging holder from July 20, 2020 at a price of 249 euros.
Elegant design & AMOLED display
The curved display and the Breathe-like watch face are very reminiscent of the design of an Apple watch. The housing, which is particularly slim at only 11 millimeters, consists of an elegant aluminum frame and a robust polycarbonate back. The square display with 1.6 inch diagonal and sharp 320 x 360 pixel resolution is embedded in it. Due to the AMOLED display type, colors are particularly strong and the contrast is almost infinite. The hardened Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display glass also makes the smartwatch break-proof and scratch-resistant. Instead of one-button operation, OPPO's smartwatch is equipped with two physical buttons.
WearOS & extensive functions
What makes the OPPO Watch a fully-fledged smartwatch are WearOS and the sophisticated hardware, including the extensive sensors. For example, it is possible to make phone calls directly via the smartwatch (microphone + loudspeaker), answer incoming WhatsApp messages and respond to e-mails. Any apps and watch faces can be added later using WearOS. NFC is also on board and enables the smartwatch to be used for mobile payments (Google Play).
Sports enthusiasts will also get their money's worth with the OPPO Watch. The combination of GPS, optical heart rate sensor and barometer monitors and tracks sporting activities in detail. Various fitness programs, running, hiking, cycling and swimming (3 meters waterproof) are supported. A training assistant helps to motivate the wearer to exercise regularly without losing sight of health (sleep, pulse and stress monitoring). For users, the OPPO Watch also offers the possibility to follow the cycle.
VOOC fast charging
The small 300 mAh battery supplies the smartwatch with up to 24 hours of running time in smart mode and 14 days in energy-saving mode. OPPO's fast charging standard VOOC should not be missing here either and charges the battery to 20 percent in just 46 minutes.
