HONOR Magic V2 RSR in luxurious Porsche design comes to Europe

Just a few days ago we talked about it  Sales start of the HONOR Magic V2 in Europe  reported. The world's thinnest foldable smartphone is now also available in Europe and therefore also in Germany at the proud price of 1.999 euros (RRP).

With the exclusive HONOR Magic V2 RSR in Porsche Design, which emerged from a collaboration between HONOR and Porsche, both companies are raising the bar even further. We were already able to take a closer look at the luxurious special edition, with its puristic aesthetics from Porsche Design.

The HONOR Magic V2 RSR is based on the famous "Flyline" of the Porsche 911. This refers to the dynamically sloping roof line, which is particularly clearly visible in the side view of the Porsche 911, and which is now also reflected in the design of the HONOR Magic V2 RSR. There is also the classic Porsche color agate gray, which underlines the legendary design of the Porsche 911.

Just like a sports car, the HONOR Magic V2 RSR also relies on light and durable materials. The case, which weighs just 234 g and is 9,9 mm thin, is made of fiberglass and the hinge is made of a robust titanium alloy. HONOR promises a high level of protection with the NanoCrystal Shield display glass, which, according to HONOR, is ten times more resistant to scratches and drops than ordinary display glass.

HONOR Magic V2 RSR: Features

Aside from the design differences, the Magic V2 RSR shares its hardware with the standard Magic V2. A 7,92-inch internal and a 6,43-inch external display is installed, both with colorful OLED LTPO technology and a dynamic 120 Hz refresh rate. Plus high-frequency 3.840 Hz PWM dimming, which reduces eye strain during long periods of use.

The camera system consists of three lenses: a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.9 aperture and optical image stabilization, a 20-megapixel telephoto lens (f/2.4) and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.0). The setup enables high-quality image capture, including night photography, zoom and time-lapse modes. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording, which promises cinematic video quality.

The foldable smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform with an octa-core CPU, a fast Adreno 740 GPU and a 5G cellular modem. This combination not only guarantees fast and smooth performance, but also excellent graphics quality and ultra-fast internet connections.

When it comes to battery performance, the device shines with innovative silicon-carbon technology that combines two ultra-thin cells for a total capacity of 5.000 mAh. The smartphone also supports the 66W HONOR Wired SuperCharge for fast charging.
