The DOOGEE S60 is a so-called “rugged phone” from China. Anyone looking for a robust outdoor smartphone in this country will usually be disappointed. However, many Chinese smartphone manufacturers now offer a considerable range of outdoor-capable smartphones that can withstand a lot and at the same time are equipped with the latest hardware.

Design

Focused solely on the design, the DOOGEE S60 is a typical outdoor smartphone. The massive housing consists of a combination of plastic and metal. The edges of the housing in particular are protected by a solid plastic jacket that is arranged in a polygonal manner. In accordance with protection class IP68, the smartphone is completely dustproof and even protected against submersion. The MicroUSB socket and the 3.5 mm audio output are protected by rubber covers. The smartphone has a total of 3 physical control buttons on each side of the frame. These are the typical power button and two volume buttons, but also an SOS button, a PTT button and a quick start button for the camera. Display
