It wasn't that long ago when we found out about this Ulefone Armor 9 reported. A few months later, the next smartphone in the robust Armor series is announced. The Ulefone Armor 10 is the first outdoor smartphone that understands the new 5G cellular standard.

MediaTek Dimensity 800

This is made possible by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 system-on-chip, which combines a 5G modem in addition to the CPU and GPU. The SoC, manufactured using the 7nm process, supports global sub-6 GHz networks (N1/3/41/77/78/79) and has particularly high performance thanks to the 5G-2CC carrier aggregation. Faster 5G mobile communications is possible on both SIM slots (dual SIM), with both slots sharing a transmitter and receiver unit (dual standby). MediaTek's "UltraSave" technology promises low power consumption during 5G use.

The CPU forms a total of 8 processor cores, each of which is divided into four Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 cores. All cores are designed for a maximum clock rate of 2 GHz. The Mali-G57 MC4 GPU is supported by MediaTeks HyperEngine 2.0, which is supposed to provide more performance in games. The memory equipment of the Ulefone Armor 10 is divided into an 8GB LPDDR4X main memory and a 128GB UFS2.1 data memory. A memory expansion (MicroSD) is provided. On the software side, Android 10 is used.

IP68 / IP69K protection

The Ulefone Armor 10 is a smartphone with a particularly durable housing (176.5 x 82.8 x 14.5mm and 328g). A solid cover made of plastic and metal elements prevents dirt and water from penetrating and falling from a fall. The protection scope of the Armor 10 is classified according to the IP protection classes IP68 and IP69K. After that, the smartphone is protected from dust, submersion and hot water.

5080 mAh battery and wireless charging

The 25 mAh battery promises long-lasting battery runtimes with up to 5080 days of standby. Wired (USB-C), but also contactless (Qi Wireless Charging), the Ulefone Armor 10 can be charged with up to 15 watts. So-called reverse charging enables other devices to be charged in reverse.

6.67 inch IPS display

The display has a diagonal of 6.67 inches in FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels). The IPS display type used is known for fast switching times and particularly high viewing angle stability without causing color distortions or loss of contrast. A hardened display glass protects the display from scratches and falls. In addition, an “anti-fingerprint coating” reduces susceptibility to dirt and marks.

64MP quad camera

On the back there is the quad camera with a 64MP main sensor. The sensor is a SAMSUNG ISOCELL Bright GW1 (0.8μm, 1/1.7") with f/1.89 aperture. By using pixel binning, surrounding pixels are combined, which enables more color-true and noise-reduced recordings even in poor lighting conditions.

The rest of the camera sensors are divided into an 8MP wide-angle camera with a 118.8 ° field of view and f / 2.2 aperture, a 5MP macro camera with a 4cm focus distance and a 2MP depth sensor. There is an LED flash at the side, which can also be used as a flashlight. The front camera uses a 16MP sensor with f / 2.2 aperture.

NFC, GPS and others

 NFC is available so that mobile payment via Google Pay is also possible. The Ulefone Armor 10 works with the GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou navigation systems for precise positioning. The smartphone can be safely unlocked using a fingerprint scanner on the back. A custom key on the side can be assigned any function. Further features are dual AC WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0 and an RGB notification LED.
