Xiaomi 15 and 14T Pro receive update first
First up are the Xiaomi 15 (our test) and the Xiaomi 14T Pro . Both models have been running Android 16 since mid-July.
Unlike Samsung, Xiaomi isn't combining the Android update with a new interface. Instead of HyperOS 3.0, which is still under development, the manufacturer is continuing to use HyperOS 2.3. Visually, everything remains the same.
This brings Android 16 to Xiaomi devices
The innovations are primarily under the hood. Android 16 brings improved storage management, more refined privacy options, and a new version of the Privacy Sandbox. The latter is designed to better protect users from tracking while also enabling a privacy-friendly advertising platform.
HyperOS 2.3 also provides smoother animations and better app compatibility. According to Xiaomi, system performance has been specifically optimized to provide an even more stable user experience.
