Large display with Dolby Vision and TÜV certification
The tablets are equipped with a 12,1" IPS panel offering a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Dolby Vision enables precise color reproduction, while TÜV Rheinland certifications promise low blue light, flicker-free operation, and a more comfortable experience for the eyes. DC dimming also reduces strain during longer sessions.
Four speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio are built in for audio output. A manual volume boost of up to 300 percent enables higher volume levels in noisy environments.
12.000 mAh battery and reverse charging
A 12.000 mAh battery allows for up to 14 hours of video playback. It charges via 33 W fast charging, and reverse charging allows for up to 27 W of power to power other devices.
The series is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, manufactured using the energy-efficient 4nm process. Storage options range from 6/128 GB to 8/256 GB, with the storage expandable up to 2 TB via microSD.
Differences between Pro and Pro 5G
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and an optional model with a matte glass display that reduces reflections and provides a paper-like feel for notes and sketches.
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G adds 5G connectivity with dual-SIM and eSIM support, as well as a 13 MP main camera (instead of 8 MP on the WiFi model).
Both versions run on Xiaomi HyperOS and offer features such as call sync, shared clipboard, network sync, and cross-device camera. Google Gemini and Circle to Search are also integrated.
We don't have any information about the update guarantee yet, but Xiaomi has generally promised 3 years of Android/HyperOS updates and 4 years of security patches for Redmi Pads in the past.
