Spanning over 3.300 square meters, Xiaomi will present its first stand in Europe at IFA 2026. The focus will be on the "Human x Car x Home" concept, with which the company aims to better integrate smartphones, wearables, household appliances, smart home products, and vehicles.
The technical foundation for this will primarily be Xiaomi HyperOS and artificial intelligence. In the future, devices will not only be interconnected, but will also be able to combine information from various everyday situations and react accordingly. In Berlin, for example, Xiaomi is demonstrating a scenario in which lighting and air conditioning are adjusted based on time of day, location, and weather conditions even before the user returns home.
Xiaomi divides its IFA presence into three areas
Xiaomi divides the exhibition into the areas of “AI Tomorrow”, “AI Today” and the actual “Human x Car x Home” product portfolio.
“AI Tomorrow” aims to offer a glimpse into future mobility concepts with the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept car. In contrast, the “AI Today” area showcases more concrete application scenarios related to vehicles and connected homes. The exhibited portfolio comprises more than 380 products across seven categories, including household cleaning, air quality, entertainment, security, personal devices, and mobility.
The ambition goes beyond that of a traditional smart home platform. Xiaomi aims to connect personal devices, vehicles, and household products via a shared software and AI infrastructure. According to the company, more than 1,1 billion IoT devices are already connected to its platform, not including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
AI should be more than just a voice assistant
Xiaomi places a strong emphasis on AI that not only answers individual requests, but also recognizes situations and coordinates multiple devices.
This could mean, for example, that a smartphone, a printer, and other devices could all respond to the command to print the photo that was just taken. Lighting, blinds, and room temperature could also be automatically adjusted to specific activities.
In parallel, Xiaomi is further developing its own AI models. At IFA, the company mentioned MiMo-V2.5-Pro, Xiaomi Miloco, and Xiaomi Miclaw, among others. These are designed to enhance abilities in understanding, logical reasoning, and executing more complex tasks.
Xiaomi 18 Fold with its own XRING O3 chip
Xiaomi also wants to become more independent in terms of hardware. At IFA, the company is showcasing the Xiaomi 18 Fold, which is equipped for the first time with its own XRING O3 processor.
Xiaomi sees its own chips as a key building block for local AI calculations, performance, and energy efficiency. The company is also presenting a new AI computing platform designed to deliver AI functionality across devices.
Another part of the technology strategy is the automation of its own production. Xiaomi's factories already use intelligent manufacturing systems. Humanoid robots are also being tested. According to the company, the success rate for certain assembly tasks at the Xiaomi Auto Factory was increased from around 90 to 98 percent within four months.
Xiaomi Auto is expected to come to Europe in 2027.
For European customers, the automotive division is likely to be of particular interest. Xiaomi is showcasing three vehicles at IFA.
Alongside the virtual Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept, the new generation of the Xiaomi SU7 series and the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra are on display. The vehicles are designed to work seamlessly with smartphones and smart home products via HyperOS.
Since its market launch in March 2024, Xiaomi claims to have delivered more than 700.000 vehicles in mainland China. Market entry in Europe, including Germany, is planned for 2027.
This would also bring the missing component of the "Human x Car x Home" concept to Europe. Whether Xiaomi will offer the same models at launch as in China is currently unclear.
Mijia is expected to grow significantly in Europe.
Xiaomi plans to expand its smart home business even before then. The Mijia brand is expected to gradually receive a significantly broader portfolio in Europe.
According to Xiaomi, Mijia comprises more than 2.000 products worldwide in over 130 categories. Compatible devices can be controlled and combined via the Xiaomi Home app.
Xiaomi has not yet announced which specific new Mijia products will be released in Germany and when. It is only clear that the product range in Europe will be gradually expanded and more closely integrated with other parts of the Xiaomi ecosystem.
