Xiaomi Watch S5 46mm features a stainless steel case and longer battery life
The Xiaomi Watch S5 46mm expands Xiaomi's smartwatch lineup with a new model focused on outdoor features and health monitoring. The watch boasts a 1,48-inch AMOLED display with 480 x 480 pixels, a peak brightness of up to 2500 nits, and a stainless steel case. Depending on the variant, bezels are made of stainless steel, ceramic, or carbon fiber.
Weighing 46 grams and with a case height of 10,99 millimeters, the watch is comparatively compact. Xiaomi has integrated an 815 mAh battery, which is said to enable runtimes of up to 21 days. Compared to the previous generation, this would represent an increase of 68 percent.
The focus is once again on health and sports features. The Watch S5 supports more than 150 sports modes and uses a new heart rate sensor with four LEDs and four PD sensors. Xiaomi claims a measurement accuracy of up to 98,4 percent. The system is complemented by a dual-band GNSS with five satellite systems for more precise positioning during outdoor activities.
Also new is the so-called "Passion Mode." This recognizes celebratory gestures like clapping or arm movements and converts them into measurable activity data such as calorie consumption or heart rate. The health tracking is complemented by HRV sleep monitoring and weekly and monthly reports on sleep patterns.
The Xiaomi Watch S5 46mm is available in the colors Black, Silver, Ceramic Blue and Jungle Green at prices between 179,99 and 199,99 Euro.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro is getting bigger, brighter, and smarter.
With the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro, Xiaomi is also updating its fitness band series. The new model features a 1,74-inch AMOLED display with up to 2000 nits of brightness and a refresh rate of up to 60 Hz. Despite the larger display, the casing remains relatively compact at 9,7 millimeters thick and weighing 21,6 grams.
For health monitoring, Xiaomi relies on a revised PPG module and new algorithms. According to the manufacturer, the accuracy of heart rate measurement increases to up to 98,2 percent. More than 150 sports modes are supported, including a new Track Mode and an enhanced Cycling Mode with smartphone integration.
Also new is the collaboration with the cycle-tracking app Clue. Buyers receive three months of access to Clue Plus with extended features such as cycle analysis, fertility predictions, and menstrual tracking.
Also of interest is the new dual-device synchronization. When paired with a Xiaomi smartphone, the Smart Band can be connected to an iPhone simultaneously, allowing notifications and calls to be received from two devices at the same time.
Xiaomi states a battery life of up to 21 days. The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro is available in Lavender Pink, Midnight Black, Glacier Silver, and as a Ceramic Edition. Prices start at €79,99.
Xiaomi Buds 6 rely on aptX Lossless and Apple Find My
With the Xiaomi Buds 6, Xiaomi is launching new semi-in-ear headphones with a focus on sound quality and connectivity. The earbuds utilize an 11mm driver with three magnets and a 24-karat gold-plated diaphragm to enhance high-frequency reproduction. They support SBC, AAC, LC3, and Qualcomm aptX Lossless with transmission rates of up to 2,1 Mbps.
The sound profile was developed in collaboration with the Harman Golden Ear Team. Users can choose between Harman Audio EFX and Harman Master Mode. Additionally, the Buds 6 support adaptive sound and 360-degree audio with head tracking.
Xiaomi has also improved its noise cancellation capabilities. The active noise cancellation operates in "Balanced" and "Deep" modes. For phone calls, Xiaomi uses a 3-microphone system with AI noise reduction, which, according to the manufacturer, can reduce background noise by up to 95 dB.
Particularly interesting is the newly integrated support for Apple Find My and Google Find Hub. This allows lost charging cases to be located via Apple's or Google's network.
The Xiaomi Buds 6 offer up to six hours of battery life per charge, or up to 35 hours including the charging case. The earbuds are available in Graphite Black, Pearl White, Titan Gray, and Nebula Purple for €119,99.
Xiaomi Sound Play combines Bluetooth speaker with ambient lighting
Xiaomi expands its audio portfolio with the Xiaomi Sound Play, a compact Bluetooth speaker. The device features an 18-watt sound engine, Bluetooth 6.0, and a combination of infinity mirror lighting and ambient lighting on the bottom. A total of five color effects and three lighting modes are available.
The speaker supports True Wireless Stereo for genuine stereo pairing as well as Auracast, allowing up to 100 compatible speakers to connect synchronously. Xiaomi is clearly targeting the device towards group and outdoor use.
Thanks to its IP68 certification, the Xiaomi Sound Play is protected against water and dust. According to the manufacturer, the integrated 2600 mAh battery allows for up to 14 hours of playback. It charges via USB-C in approximately 2,5 hours.
Xiaomi Sound Play is available in Black, White, Green and Purple for €49,90.
