Leica cameras with greater scope
Both models feature a triple camera system developed in collaboration with Leica. The Xiaomi 15T combines a 50 MP main camera with an f/1.7 aperture, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens with a focal length of up to 92 mm.
The Xiaomi 15T Pro is more comprehensive: It features a 50 MP main camera with a brighter f/1.62 aperture and a new Light Fusion 900 sensor, which reveals more details in both bright and dark areas thanks to its 13,5 EV dynamic range. Added to that is a Leica 5x Pro telephoto lens, which enables 5x optical zoom, 10x lossless zoom, and up to 20x ultra zoom. This gives the Pro model a focal length of 15 to 230 mm, while the standard model caps at 92 mm.
A special Leica Street Photography mode allows quick snapshots directly from the lock screen and offers fixed focal lengths from 28 to 135 mm, with the longest option also reserved for the Pro. These systems are complemented by a 32 MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
The lenses are supported by the Xiaomi AISP 2.0 platform, which optimizes colors, contrast, and depth of field using algorithms. PortraitLM 2.0 and ColorLM 2.0 reduce post-processing effort and ensure more natural results. New bokeh effects such as "Wide" and "Bubble" are available in Master Portrait mode.
Xiaomi is also upping the ante in the video sector. Both models record 4K HDR+ at 30 fps across all focal lengths. The 15T Pro also offers 4K at 120 fps for slow motion with precise frame control, as well as 4K at 60 fps in 10-bit log with LUT support for professional post-production.
Displays with 3.200 nits and up to 144 Hz
The Xiaomi 15T series features large 6,83-inch AMOLED panels with 1,5K resolution and a peak brightness of 3.200 nits. This ensures content remains readable even in direct sunlight.
The 15T Pro stands out with its extremely narrow bezels of just 1,5 mm, made possible by LIPO technology. It also offers a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz for smooth scrolling and gaming. The 15T reaches up to 120 Hz and uses 3.840 Hz PWM dimming to reduce flicker and protect your eyes, especially in low light.
The displays are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which is said to be twice as scratch-resistant as the previous generation.
Performance and cooling
Different chipsets operate inside. The Xiaomi 15T Pro uses the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ in the 3nm process, while the Xiaomi 15T uses the Dimensity 8400 Ultra. Both offer more performance with greater energy efficiency.
Heat management is handled by the new 3D IceLoop system, which separates vapor from liquid and distributes heat more evenly across the device's surface. This ensures consistent performance even during extended use.
The batteries are identical: 5.500 mAh capacity, designed for 1.600 charging cycles with at least 80 percent remaining capacity. Differences become apparent during charging:
- 15T Pro: 90 W wired, 50 W wireless
- 15T: 67 W wired
A power adapter is not included depending on the region (including Germany). For full charging speed, Xiaomi recommends its own chargers with the appropriate wattage.
Offline communication and HyperOS 3
A special feature is the new Xiaomi Astral Communication. This system combines various signal sources and optimizes them with adaptive antenna management. New is Offline Communication, which allows direct voice connections between two devices in the series without a cellular network or Wi-Fi. The range is up to 1,9 km for the Pro and 1,3 km for the 15T in open terrain. This feature will be enabled via an OTA update starting September 24, 2025. It is not intended for emergencies and may vary depending on the environment.
On the software side, both models will launch with HyperOS 3, which will be distributed via update in selected regions starting at the end of October 2025. The new version brings a redesigned interface, new multitasking features, faster app launches, and integration of HyperAI, which is designed to dynamically optimize content and device connectivity.
Design and materials
The back of the devices is made of fiberglass with a seamless battery cover, and the frame is flat and slightly rounded. Differences lie in the material:
- 15T Pro: Frame made of high-strength 6M13 aluminum alloy, colors Black, Gray and Mocha Gold
- 15T: Standard plastic frame, colors Black, Gray and Rose Gold
Both devices are IP68 certified, which includes protection against dust and water.
