3-in-1 technology for maximum flexibility
At its core, the XGIMI Ascend is a motorized 100-inch ALR screen that can be extended and retracted at the touch of a button. What is exciting, however, is the design, which with its retro aesthetic is more reminiscent of a modern sideboard than a floor screen. The Ascend is designed so that it can be flexibly integrated into any room. No drilling, no fixed mounting necessary.
Thanks to ALR (Ambient Light Rejection) technology, the screen promises clear, high-contrast images even in daylight by minimizing disruptive ambient light.
XGIMI itself recommends the Ascend in combination with the AURA 2 ultra-short-throw projector, which was already presented here at last year's IFA. The AURA 2 delivers razor-sharp images at 2.0 ISO lumens of brightness thanks to Dual Light 2.300 technology and Dolby Vision, and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space.
The appropriate home cinema sound comes from a powerful 60W soundbar from Harman-Kardon, which is discreetly hidden behind the wooden panels of the screen.
In addition, the Ascend not only serves as a home cinema screen, but can also be extended to a third or half to create an ambient experience - for example with virtual fireplaces or a digital aquarium.
release still unclear
The Ascend is currently only a concept and it is not yet known if and when it will go into production.
