Comeback in Germany

Since halting sales in mid-2023, vivo had withdrawn all its devices from the market in Germany. This was due to a patent dispute that blocked distribution in Germany and several other markets. However, vivo remained active in other European countries, such as Austria, Italy, and Spain. With today's market launch of the X300 series, its return is now official.

200MP ZEISS Ultra Clear Imaging

vivo continues its close partnership with ZEISS with the X300 series, presenting camera systems reminiscent of professional optics. The X300 Pro features a 200 MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera based on a specially developed HPB sensor. This is complemented by a 50 MP gimbal-grade main camera with the Sony LYT-828 sensor and top-level optical stabilization (CIPA 5.5).

The standard X300 model is hardly inferior. It also features a 200 MP main camera with an Ultra-Sensing HPB sensor and CIPA 4.5 stabilization. In addition, it includes a ZEISS APO telephoto camera with a LYT-602 sensor, which is said to offer a higher dynamic range and lower power consumption.

Both models feature a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle front camera with autofocus and vivo's proprietary portrait algorithm, which delivers detailed selfies with natural depth of field.

Advanced photo and video features

With the X300 series, vivo is clearly targeting photo and video professionals. New features include Stage Mode 2.0, designed to ensure stable recordings at concerts and events. The models also enable 4K recording at up to 120 fps, with the X300 Pro even supporting Dolby Vision.

The camera is also designed to impress in everyday use. Portrait mode utilizes the ZEISS Natural Portrait Look. Night shots benefit from intelligent light adjustment, and features like AI Passerby Erase and AI Landscape Master facilitate creative post-processing directly on the smartphone.

New OriginOS released worldwide

With the market launch of the X300 series, the new OriginOS also makes its international debut. The user interface is designed to be smoother, smarter, and more accessible. It offers features such as AI Creation for rewriting, translating, or brainstorming, as well as the integration of Google Gemini. Enhanced security is provided by the new vivo Security framework with encrypted "Private Space."

vivo also promises five years of operating system updates and seven years of security patches. This puts the company among the industry leaders, where currently only Google, Samsung, and HONOR offer up to seven years of support.

Performance, battery and design

Inside, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, optimized in cooperation with vivo, is at work. The chip is based on TSMC's modern N3P process and combines high performance with energy efficiency.

Both devices utilize the BlueVolt Battery System with silicon anode technology. The X300 Pro offers a 5.440 mAh battery, while the X300 has a 5.360 mAh battery, each with 90W fast charging and wireless charging options.

vivo also relies on premium technology for the display. An 8T LTPO panel with up to 2.000 nits of brightness and 2160 Hz PWM dimming ensures sharp and eye-friendly visuals. The devices are IP68/IP69 certified and feature 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensors.

Visually, the X300 series features a 3D unibody glass design with a matte finish. The vivo X300 is the more compact model in the series and is available in Phantom Black and Halo Pink. The larger vivo X300 Pro boasts a sophisticated look in Phantom Black and Dune Brown.
