Atmos upgrade for existing speakers
The concept remains unchanged. The REFLEKT 2 speakers are simply placed on top of existing floorstanding or bookshelf speakers and connected to a compatible AV receiver. In upfiring mode, they radiate the sound upwards, so that it is reflected off the ceiling and reaches the listener as a height channel.
The speakers are officially "Dolby Atmos Enabled" certified and are suitable for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D. Alternatively, they can be operated as front, height, or rear speakers using the integrated switch. Wall mounting is also possible; the bracket is integrated.
Compact 2-way system
Inside, a closed 2-way system features a 90 mm Kevlar mid-woofer and a 25 mm fabric dome tweeter. According to Teufel, the long-throw drivers enable high, low-distortion sound pressure levels. The frequency response ranges from 150 to 20.000 Hz, and the nominal impedance is 4 ohms.
With dimensions of 13 × 18,5 × 8,7 cm and a weight of 1,46 kg per speaker, the REFLEKT 2 remain compact enough to fit on top of existing loudspeakers. Sensitivity is 85 dB (2,83 V / 1 m).
Revised design and more sustainable materials
Compared to its predecessor, Teufel has primarily focused on the details. The wall mount has been optimized, and the housing design has been adapted to the current ULTIMA series. A new white version is also available, matching white ULTIMA speakers.
The cabinets are made of MDF wood and are now manufactured from FSC-certified material. At the same time, Teufel has opted for a more repair-friendly design with fewer glued components. The surface has a matte finish, which is intended to make fingerprints less visible.
Price and availability
The REFLEKT 2 speakers are available now in the Teufel online shop and in Teufel stores. The price per pair is €299,99. The manufacturer also offers bundles with speakers from the ULTIMA series and matching AV receivers. These start at €1.899,99.
