Powerful 3-way system with streaming versatility
Inside is a 3-way system with a 200 mm Kevlar woofer, two 85 mm midrange drivers, and two 30 mm tweeters. The whole thing is powered by a 5-channel Class D amplifier with 210 watts RMS, enabling volumes of up to 103 dB SPL. According to Teufel, the frequency range extends from 35 Hz to 35 kHz. This should be more than many other compact systems.

Signal processing is handled by a 24-bit/96 kHz DAC. Teufel's proprietary Dynamore technology provides a wider stereo image upon request. Sound control is available via the Teufel Home app, with equalizer, source selection, and preset control, or via an illuminated control panel directly on the device.

The MOTIV XL supports almost every common streaming option:
- AirPlay 2 (for Apple devices and multiroom)
- Google Cast / Chromecast built-in
- Spotify Connect
- TIDAL Connect
- TuneIn Internet Radio
- Bluetooth with AAC codec

The speaker is also Roon Ready and can be integrated into existing Roon environments, including support for high-resolution audio via RAAT.
Replaceable battery and wide range of connections
For mobile use, it features a replaceable lithium-ion battery, which, according to the manufacturer, lasts for up to 13 hours at medium volume. It weighs 12,9 kg, making it unsuitable for carrying in a backpack, but practical for balconies, gardens, or the office. Side handles on the 56 cm wide housing facilitate transport.

The rear panel also features a 3,5 mm jack input, an XLR microphone input, and a USB port with power bank functionality. These allow for the integration of traditional sources such as record players, televisions, or microphones (e.g., for karaoke).
