Galaxy Z Flip7: Larger front display, more AI, more endurance
The Galaxy Z Flip7 is Samsung's most advanced flip model to date. A particularly striking feature is the new 4,1-inch Infinity Front Display, which extends almost borderlessly across the top of the case. Content such as messages, calendar, camera, and widgets can be controlled directly from it, and thanks to a brightness of up to 2.600 nits, it's easy to see even in sunlight. Google Gemini Live is now also on board, which can be controlled directly from the front display using voice commands.
The main display grows to 6,9 inches, but remains pleasantly compact thanks to its foldable design. The new Now Bar displays running apps, while Now Brief consolidates daily information such as weather, appointments, and fitness data, all directly on the outer display.
Design & Robustness
Samsung has optimized the Flip7 in many details. At 13,7 mm when folded, the case is the slimmest in the series yet. The weight remains manageable at 188 g, and protection has been improved thanks to Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and a redesigned Armor aluminum frame. The new Advanced Flex Hinge is not only slimmer but also more durable. IP48 certification protects against dust and splashes.
More power, longer runtime
The Galaxy Z Flip7 is powered by the 3nm Exynos 2500, the first Exynos chip in a Flip model. Combined with 12GB of RAM, it ensures a smooth user experience. The battery now has a capacity of 4.300mAh, and according to Samsung, it supports up to 31 hours of video playback.
Samsung DeX is also included for the first time. This allows the device to be connected to a monitor and used as a desktop workstation.
Camera with ProVisual Engine
The dual camera system features a 50 MP main sensor with OIS and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Thanks to the new ProVisual Engine, images are automatically optimized in low light. For selfies, there's a 10 MP internal camera or the rear camera via the front display.
New features include support for 10-bit HDR video, a zoom slider on the external display, and creative tools like Portrait Studio for cartoon filters or fisheye effects. Dual Preview shows the subject simultaneously on both displays.
Galaxy AI: Assistance on the external display
The Galaxy Z Flip7 integrates Galaxy AI directly into the Infinity Front Display. Users can search for flight information, set reminders, or get restaurant recommendations by voice, all without having to open the device. Additionally, the front display design dynamically adapts, for example, with new clock designs that wrap around lock screen motifs.
Galaxy Z Flip7 FE: Entry-level foldable phone for under 1000 euros
With the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, Samsung is introducing a more affordable Fan Edition to its foldable series for the first time. Technically, the model is closely aligned with its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip6, but also offers Android 16 with One UI 8 and a slimmed-down Galaxy AI.
The 3,4-inch front display remains unchanged, as does the 6,7-inch main display. The case measures 14,9 mm folded, weighs 187 g, and is also IP48 rated. The Exynos 2400, combined with 8 GB of RAM, provides the necessary performance.
Like the Flip7, the cameras consist of a 50 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, but without HDR video. The FlexCam mode with practical features for selfies is also available here. The software offers, among other things, Now Brief on the external display, but in a reduced layout.
