Slimmer look for more comfort
At 8 mm, the Galaxy Watch 8,6 is the thinnest Galaxy Watch yet and a full 11% slimmer than its predecessor. It's available in 40 mm and 44 mm sizes and weighs 34 g or 30 g (Bluetooth version), depending on the model. The displays are slightly larger than before, measuring 1,3 inches (40 mm) and 1,5 inches (44 mm), respectively, and achieve a peak brightness of 3.000 nits. That's 50% brighter than the Watch 7.
The new cushion shape ensures an improved fit and more precise measurements. At the same time, the Dynamic Lug System reduces the distance between the wrist and the watch, which positively impacts comfort and sensory perception.
Watch8 Classic with rotating bezel
For fans of the classic interface, Samsung is launching the Galaxy Watch8 Classic with a rotating bezel and a new quick button for fast access. It's available in 46 mm, measures 10,6 mm in thickness, and features a 1,34-inch display. While this is smaller than the 47 mm model of the Watch6 Classic, it offers more storage and a larger battery.
Powerful hardware, more memory, long runtime
All models in the Watch8 series are powered by the Exynos W1000, a 3nm chip that was already used in the Watch Ultra 2024. The Watch8 has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while the Classic offers twice as much space for music and offline maps as before with 64GB of storage.
The battery capacity is slightly increased compared to its predecessor, to 325 mAh (40 mm) and 435 mAh (44 mm) for the Watch 8 and 425 mAh for the Watch 8 Classic. Wireless fast charging is supported.
