Galaxy Watch Ultra2 for outdoor sports and diving
With the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, Samsung is once again targeting ambitious athletes and outdoor enthusiasts. The smartwatch features a robust titanium case, an 800 mAh battery, and an AMOLED display with a peak brightness of up to 5.000 nits. Compared to its predecessor, the case is, according to Samsung, 12 percent slimmer, while softer straps are designed to improve wearing comfort.
New features include special functions for trail runners and divers. The trail run mode records data such as altitude, gradient, and training intensity. Additionally, a new hydration alarm provides information about estimated fluid requirements during training.
Thanks to its IP69K, 10 ATM, and DIN EN 13319 certifications, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 also supports underwater use. In conjunction with a diving app developed in collaboration with Mares, the watch can be used as a dive computer, displaying information such as depth, water temperature, and ascent and descent rates.

The Galaxy Watch9 focuses on everyday comfort.
The Galaxy Watch9, on the other hand, is aimed more at everyday users. Samsung has equipped it with an aluminum case, a display with up to 3.000 nits of brightness, and a 390 mAh battery. It also uses the new Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, which is designed to provide more performance and a smoother user experience.
The smartwatch is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes. Samsung also promises an optimized fit and new wristbands for sports, everyday use, and sleep tracking.

AI analyzes health and fitness
Both smartwatches focus on new AI-powered health features. The BioActive sensors continuously collect biometric data and are designed to derive personalized advice on fitness, recovery, and well-being.
New features include, among others:
- AI-supported analysis of possible sleep apnea symptoms
- Vital signs for classifying personal baseline values
- Heart Health Overview
- Daily endurance exercise
- Fitness index for assessing physical performance
- Hearing analysis at high ambient noise levels
Prices and availability
The Galaxy Watch9 will be available in two sizes. The 40mm version starts at €409, while the 44mm version starts at €439.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is only available with a 47 mm case size and costs from 749 euros.
Both smartwatches can be pre-ordered from July 22, 2026. General availability begins on August 7, 2026. Buyers will also receive a two-month trial of the iFit fitness service and various pre-order promotions in the Samsung online shop.
