Following its unveiling at CES 2026, the Roborock Saros 20 Sonic is now available in stores. Further development of Saros 10

Already at Saros 10 proved itself in the testThe vibrating mop head, while effective, reaches its limits when cleaning edges and corners. The Saros 20 Sonic aims to improve upon this.

With VibraRise 5.0, the mop can extend laterally, allowing it to clean closer to baseboards, furniture edges, or kitchen fronts. An additional side mop is therefore no longer necessary. At the same time, the vibration power has been increased to 4.000 movements per minute and the contact pressure raised to up to 14 N.

Compared to its predecessor, this should result in more thorough cleaning, even with dried-on stains, for example in the kitchen or entrance area.

Significant increase in suction power

Another major difference lies in the suction power. While the Saros 10 had a suction power of around 22.000 Pascals, the Saros 20 Sonic, according to the manufacturer, reaches up to 36.000 Pascals.

This should be particularly noticeable on carpets, for example with pet hair or deeply embedded dust. Dirt in cracks and crevices should also be picked up more effectively.

Improved climbing ability

Thanks to the new AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0, the robot should be able to overcome double thresholds of up to 4,5 and 4,3 cm, such as doorways or combined thresholds between rooms.

Another new feature is that the robot can lift its entire chassis when needed, for example on high-pile carpets. This prevents the housing from dragging across the carpet, which, according to the manufacturer, further improves suction power.

The flat design is retained.

Like the Saros 10, the Saros 20 Sonic remains very slim. With a height of 7,98 cm, it can still fit under many pieces of furniture, such as sofas or low cabinets.

The retractable LiDAR tower is also retained, ensuring that the overall building height remains low despite laser navigation.

Automatic maintenance via the station

The cleaning station has also been further developed. The RockDock continues to handle emptying the dust container as well as cleaning and drying the mops.

The mop washing process now uses water up to 100°C. The Saros 10 already used 80°C hot water. The higher water temperature is intended to clean mops more thoroughly and reduce germs and odors more effectively. The system also automatically dispenses cleaning agents.
