POCO F5 smartphone range
The Xiaomi subsidiary "POCO" has unveiled the latest members of its smartphone family - the POCO F5 and F5 Pro. Both models are reissues of the China-exclusive Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Redmi K60 models.
Modern design
The POCO F5 Pro presents itself in a modern and impressive housing with a distinctive camera island on the back. With a weight balance of 204 g, the smartphone is available in stylish black and white versions.

The POCO F5 as a counterpart does not have a camera island and is therefore slimmer and slightly lighter at only 181 g. In addition to black and white, the smartphone is available in bold blue.
In addition, both smartphones have a centrally aligned punch-hole cutout for the front camera and an in-screen fingerprint sensor, which ensures a clean and uncluttered appearance.
The camera system is embedded in a prominent camera hill.
6,67-inch OLED display
Both smartphones come with a 6,67-inch OLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The display offers a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz and achieves a peak brightness of 5 nits in the POCO F1400 Pro.
The Pro model also stands out with its WQHD+ resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and thus offers flagship-level sharpness. The POCO F5 has a slightly lower resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (Full HD+) and has a maximum brightness of 1000 nits.
Snapdragon mobile platform
A fast Snapdragon 5+ Gen 8 from Qualcomm works in the POCO F1 Pro, which is supported by up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB internal memory. To avoid overheating during intense gaming sessions, POCO relies on its latest LiquidCool Technology 2.0 with an enormous 5000mm² vapor chamber.
The POCO F5 is also available in blue.
The POCO F5 is the world's first smartphone with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset, dominating the mid-range with flagship performance and improvements in power consumption. There is also up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space.
With 5G connectivity, both the POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro are ready for fast mobile communications. Both models also support Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC. Android 13 with the MIUI 14 "for Poco" interface is preinstalled as the operating system.
64 MP camera system
Both models have a triple camera system on the back and a 16-megapixel front camera. At its heart is a 64-megapixel main module with an f/1,79 aperture that promises detailed and vivid images in good light.
The POCO F5 is available in these three colors.
However, only the POCO F5 Pro is able to record videos in 8K. The POCO F5 supports video recordings up to 4K. The recordings of both smartphones are stabilized by OIS and EIS.
The secondary camera is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module that offers a larger field of view for landscape shots and group photos. The third module is a 2-megapixel macro sensor with an f/2,4 aperture, intended for close-up photography.
Large battery and fast charging
The new smartphones are equipped with long-lasting batteries that last all day. The POCO F5 Pro packs a 5160mAh battery and supports multiple fast charging methods including wireless 30W FastCharge and 67W TurboCharge.
The POCO F5 also supports 67W TurboCharge, but does without wireless charging. The included 67W charger fully charges the 5000 mAh battery in just 50 minutes.
