POCO F8 Ultra: the new top model
At the heart of the Ultra is a dual-chip architecture consisting of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and the VisionBoost D8 chipset. Both components work together to optimize games with up to 120 FPS, 1.5K Super Resolution, and Game HDR. In internal tests, the device achieved approximately 3,94 million points in the AnTuTu benchmark.
To ensure that this performance pressure doesn't compromise stability, POCO is implementing a new cooling concept. The 3D dual-channel and dual-layer IceLoop system distributes heat across a 6700 mm² area and even takes into account the heat generated within the camera module.

Also new in this generation is the 2.1 audio system. Two symmetrical speakers and an integrated subwoofer were developed in collaboration with Bose and are designed to deliver clearer vocals, deeper bass, and a wider soundstage. Users can switch between "Dynamic" and "Balanced" profiles, depending on their preference.
The display has also been redesigned. The 6,9-inch HyperRGB AMOLED panel utilizes a full RGB subpixel structure, promising exceptional clarity while also being more energy-efficient than the F7 Ultra. With a peak brightness of up to 3500 nits, the panel remains easily readable even in sunlight, while the minimum brightness of 1 nit ensures comfortable lighting conditions in the evening.

For the camera, POCO has opted for a new setup with a 50 MP Light Fusion 950 sensor in the main module. The large 1/1,31-inch sensor offers noticeably higher light sensitivity and is designed to excel in night and backlit scenes. The system is complemented by a 50 MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, which shines when shooting distant subjects, portraits, or close-ups from 30 cm. The 32 MP front camera automatically switches to a slightly wider field of view when more people need to be in the frame.
The battery, at 6500 mAh, is the largest ever in the POCO F series. Despite this capacity, the Ultra can be fully recharged in around 38 minutes, either via a 100W cable or 50W Wireless HyperCharge.

POCO takes a two-pronged approach to design. The Denim Blue version uses a particularly durable "nano-tech material," while the black version relies on lightweight fiberglass. Both models are IP68 certified.
POCO F8 Pro: Flagship DNA in a lighter form
The F8 Pro shares its technical basis with the Ultra, but is more compact and lighter. The most striking new feature is the back, which is CNC-milled from a single 2 mm block of glass. The material is processed in three milling stages and 41 work steps, making it a significantly more complex process than previous POCO smartphones.

POCO has also improved the display. The 6,59-inch HyperRGB AMOLED panel delivers near-2K sharpness and is over 20 percent more energy-efficient than its predecessor. Despite its compact design, the device remains pleasantly light and easy to handle at 199 grams. Like the Ultra, the Pro is also IP68-rated for water and dust resistance.
Inside, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform powers the device, utilizing WildBoost Optimization for more stable frame rates and cooled by a new 3D IceLoop system. The battery has a capacity of 6210 mAh and can be fully charged in approximately 37 minutes using 100W HyperCharge.

For the first time, POCO has incorporated a dedicated telephoto lens into a Pro model. The 50 MP telephoto camera enables 2,5x optical zoom and 5x lossless in-sensor zoom. It is complemented by the 50 MP main camera with Light Fusion 800 and an ultra-wide-angle camera. Software features such as 1440p dynamic shooting, HDR, and new film filters complete the package.
