Google Gemini in OPPO apps

Google Gemini is now one of the pre-installed apps for many smartphone manufacturers, and OPPO is also planning to integrate Google AI more deeply into its own system. To be precise, natively into OPPO's own apps. This means that the AI will be built directly into notes, calendars and clocks. Users will soon be able to manage their appointments with the AI or have reminders and texts generated automatically.

Because AI security is a big issue, OPPO relies on the Private Computing Cloud (PCC). Based on Google's Confidential Computing, AI processes run encrypted and protected without personal data ending up on external servers.

New AI features for everyday life

OPPO also plans monthly AI updates and has already unveiled some of the new features that will be rolled out with the upcoming OPPO Find N5:

  •  AI Call Translator – Translates phone calls into different languages in real time.
  •  AI VoiceScribe – Creates automatic transcripts of calls, meetings, and online courses.
  •  AI Search & AI Studio – Improves hit quality and allows the creation of AI-generated content.

To ensure that everything runs smoothly, OPPO is working with MediaTek. New chips are designed to calculate AI models directly on the device, instead of constantly relying on the cloud. OPPO hopes this will result in more performance and less battery consumption.

At the AI Tech Summit, OPPO also set itself an ambitious goal. It wants to reach 2025 million users by the end of 100. To achieve this, the manufacturer wants to roll out its AI functions more widely and provide regular updates.
