OPPO Reno 2 & Reno 2Z
OPPO Reno 2 - Snapdragon 730G smartphone
The OPPO Reno 2 is an upper mid-range smartphone. A 6.5 inch AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution is installed, which is protected by scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G mobile processor ensures sufficient performance. Its total of 8 cores are divided into a performance cluster and an efficient energy saving cluster. The "G" in the name stands for "Gaming Performance", which adjusts the performance of the Adreno 618 GPU and WiFi accordingly. The operating system is ColorOS based on Android 9 Pie.
Other modules include 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and NFC. The storage equipment includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of data storage. Nothing is known about the type of memory used. The camera equipment is also worth mentioning. The rear main camera includes a total of 4 sensors, which are divided into a 48MP - 8MP - 13MP and 2MP sensor. In addition to a 20x digital zoom, the main camera supports a combination of optical and electronic image stabilization (OIS+EIS), numerous image enhancers (Camera AI), and a 4K video recording mode. The front camera uses a 16MP single sensor.
The dimensions of the OPPO Reno 2 are 160 x 74,3 x 9,5 mm, with a weight of 189 g. The comparatively large 4000 mAh battery brings the user safely through the day. The smartphone is charged quickly thanks to its VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 technology. The charging and data socket is of the USB-C type.
The OPPO Reno 2 is available now and costs € 449.

OPPO Reno 2Z - Helio P90 smartphone
The OPPO Reno 2Z is a slightly slimmed-down model. Despite having the same display as the Reno 2, it is “only” protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. There are also differences in the processor used. This is a slightly weaker Mediatek Helio P90 processor with PowerVR GM9446 GPU. In addition to 8GB of RAM, either 128GB or 256GB of data storage is available. Dual-AC WiFi (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS are supported. However, the Reno 2Z does not have NFC.
The camera sensors differ in detail. Although 4 sensors form the rear main camera, these have a resolution of 48MP - 8MP - 2MP and 2MP. Digital zooming is therefore only possible with 10x magnification. Instead of OIS+EIS image stabilization, recordings are only electronically stabilized (EIS). The front camera also uses a 16MP sensor.
The dimensions of the OPPO Reno 2Z are 161,8 x 75,8 x 8,7 mm, with a weight of 195g. The battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh also benefits from the VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 technology. The charging and data socket, however, is of the micro USB type!
The OPPO Reno 2Z is available now and costs from € 319.
