OPPO Find X8 Pro and Find X8
OPPO's new flagship series was released in China on October 24th. At a launch event in Bali (Indonesia), the company wants to make the OPPO Find X8 and X8 Pro more attractive to an international audience. Both models have a powerful camera setup with Hasselblad branding. While the Find X8 is equipped with a triple camera, including a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization and a 50 MP telephoto camera, the Find X8 Pro goes one step further. It offers two 50 MP periscope telephoto cameras and a large 1-inch main sensor for high-quality photo results.
OPPO is also focusing on high-end displays. The OPPO Find X8 has a 6,59-inch LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 4.500 nits. The Find X8 Pro is equipped with a 6,78-inch LTPO AMOLED panel that achieves the same brightness. The displays should score particularly well when viewing HDR content and in direct sunlight.
Both smartphones are powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip and are equipped with 12 GB up to 16 GB RAM and up to 1 TB internal flash memory. Large batteries with capacities of 5.630 mAh for the Find X8 and 5.910 mAh for the Find X8 Pro ensure a long battery life. The devices can be charged with up to 80 watts via cable or wirelessly with up to 50 watts.
The new Find X8 series comes with ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. OPPO's latest operating system update promises numerous AI features and an optimized user interface. OPPO has already announced that it will provide long-term updates for its flagship. The predecessor received four major system upgrades and five years of security updates. Perhaps OPPO will even catch up with Google and Samsung and promise up to 7 years of updates. We are excited!
While the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro already promise powerful cameras, there are rumors of an even more powerful OPPO Find X8 Ultra model that is set to launch in the first half of 2025 and may use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. We'll certainly know more about this by MWC 2025 at the latest.

Possible sale in Germany
The question of whether the new OPPO Find X8 series will be sold in Germany also remains exciting. Due to legal disputes between OPPO and Nokia, it was initially unclear whether and when OPPO devices would be officially available in Germany again. The disputes have now been settled and several signs indicate that OPPO is planning a comeback in the German market. OPPO Germany recently published a press release about the Find X8 series.
It is therefore quite possible that the company's German presence will be reactivated in the coming weeks. If not, interested buyers may be able to purchase the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro from other European countries such as Spain, Italy or France without losing their warranty. It is not yet known what the global prices for the new flagship models will be. In China, the OPPO Find X8 starts at the equivalent of 550 euros, while the Find X8 Pro is available from around 690 euros. Due to taxes, the price in Europe and Germany is likely to be significantly higher.
