New "Zero Feel Crease Technology"
OPPO claims to have significantly reduced this problem in the Find N6. This is made possible by a redesigned hinge ("Titanium Flexion Hinge" of the second generation) and new display materials.
The hinge is measured using a laser scan and leveled layer by layer using a 3D printing process. According to OPPO, this reduces the height deviation from 0,2 to 0,05 millimeters.
Additionally, an "Auto-Smoothing Flex Glass" is used, which is designed to counteract deformation and improve recovery. In combination, this is intended to significantly reduce long-term creasing and withstand up to 600.000 folding cycles.
Slim and robust design
Designed as a slim foldable device in book format, the N6 should be usable just like a classic smartphone.
When closed, a 6,62-inch external display is available. When opened, the workspace expands to an 8,12-inch internal panel. Both displays achieve a peak brightness of 1.800 nits and are optimized for outdoor use as well as in low-light conditions.
In addition, OPPO relies on eye-friendly technologies such as a 1 nit minimum brightness and high-frequency 2.160 Hz PWM dimming.
The device is available in classic Stellar Titanium and striking Blossom Orange. Protection ratings of IP56, IP58, and IP59 protect against dust and water.
Multitasking and AI in focus
OPPO makes targeted use of the large display area for new productivity features. The so-called Free-Flow Window allows multiple apps to be opened simultaneously and arranged flexibly. Up to four applications can be used in parallel, with individually adjustable sizes and layouts.
The system seamlessly transitions between different usage modes, enabling both parallel work and focused individual applications.
The operating system is a specially adapted version of ColorOS, optimized for foldable devices. This is complemented by AI features such as smart notes, recording tools, and advanced image editing.
A special accessory is the OPPO AI Pen. This stylus supports high pressure sensitivity and enables precise writing and drawing on both displays. It also offers additional functions, such as quickly capturing content or converting sketches into structured data.
Powerful hardware and large battery
OPPO has opted for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, designed for performance and efficiency. Combined with a 6.000 mAh battery, this configuration should provide ample power for both demanding applications and everyday use. Charging is supported at 80W wired or 50W wireless.
Camera with a focus on image quality
The Find N6's camera system is once again a collaboration with Hasselblad. It features a 200 MP main camera, complemented by a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x zoom and macro function.
In addition, OPPO has included a separate True Color camera for more precise white balance and more natural colors. Software features include a Hasselblad portrait mode with pronounced bokeh, a manual "Master Mode," and the XPAN mode with a wide aspect ratio.
All three cameras support 4K at 60 fps and Dolby Vision; the main camera also supports 4K at up to 120 fps. Log video recording for post-production is also supported.
