Snapdragon, triple camera, flagship claim?
What lies behind the Nothing Phone (3) could be the relatively young company's most ambitious smartphone yet. Founder Carl Pei even calls it the "first true flagship" in an interview.
Internally, the device is codenamed "Metroid" and has already appeared in databases and certification bodies such as the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) under the model number A024. A release is therefore imminent.
According to leakers, we can expect a complete technical upgrade:
- A powerful latest-generation Snapdragon chip, presumably the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
- A completely redesigned camera system with three lenses, including a telephoto periscope module.
- A larger battery with presumably over 5.000 mAh capacity.
After Nothing did not present a successor to the Phone (2024) in 2, it seems that the company has consciously focused on the further development of AI functions.
We already had a first taste of what's to come with the Nothing Phone (3a) and the "Essential Space." With the Phone (3), AI could now be integrated much more deeply into the system. No longer just as a gimmick, but as a central feature.
Price significantly higher than its predecessor
While the Nothing Phone (2) launched at under 700 euros, the Phone (3) is more expensive. Carl Pei mentioned around 800 pounds, which equates to just under 949 euros. A price level that Nothing has avoided so far.
Contrary to previous rumors, only one model of the Phone (3) is known so far. Neither a Pro nor a Plus model has been confirmed. This would also be a break with the current market trend, in which many manufacturers launch multiple variants.
