Design and display: Unibody aluminum design and brilliant image
Both tablets use a unibody aluminum design that promises high stability. The weight distribution has been optimized to make it more comfortable to hold for longer periods. While the Xiaomi Pad 7 is available in gray, blue and green, the Pad 7 Pro also offers a matte glass version in gray, which is said to be less susceptible to fingerprints.
The 11,2-inch display with 3,2K resolution (3200 x 2136 pixels) and a pixel density of 345 ppi ensures razor-sharp content in both models. With a brightness of up to 800 nits and Dolby Vision support, brilliant colors and excellent readability are guaranteed. The Adaptive HDR technology automatically adjusts the brightness to the environment. Xiaomi also relies on DC dimming and various TÜV Rheinland certifications to reduce blue light and flickering.
While the Xiaomi Pad 7 offers a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro also receives an original Color PRO calibration that displays colors even more realistically.

Performance: New Snapdragon processors and efficient storage solutions
The Xiaomi Pad 7 uses the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, while the more powerful Pad 7 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Both chips are based on 4nm technology, which is intended to ensure higher efficiency and better performance.
Both models use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 (on 256GB variants) for fast data transfers and responsive performance. Xiaomi promises a significant increase in computing and graphics performance, especially for multitasking and graphics-intensive applications.
Camera: Improved sensors for video calls and recordings
The Xiaomi Pad 7 has a 13 MP main camera and an 8 MP front camera for clear video calls. The Pad 7 Pro instead uses a 50 MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture for better low-light photography. The front camera has been upgraded to 32 MP in the Pro model and offers a 98° wide-angle field of view.
A new feature is “Combined Cameras”: This allows the simultaneous use of the camera from a tablet and smartphone within one app – exciting for content creators, among others.

Xiaomi HyperOS 2: AI-powered features and better connectivity
With Xiaomi HyperOS 2, both tablets get an improved user interface with new AI features:
- AI Writing: Support in writing texts and notes
- AI Speech Recognition: Recognition and conversion of speech into text
- AI Interpreter: Real-time translations
- AI Art: Generation of graphics and drawings
- AI Calculator: Intelligent calculations and formula recognition
The Xiaomi HyperConnect function also enables an even better connection between smartphones, tablets and other Xiaomi devices. For example, users can start smartphone apps directly on the tablet, synchronize calls or transfer files seamlessly between devices.
Battery and charging: Fast charging technology with Xiaomi Surge chipset
Both tablets have an 8850 mAh battery, but the charging speed differs:
- Xiaomi Pad 7: 45W Turbo Charging (full charge in approx. 103 minutes)
- Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro: 67W HyperCharge (full charge in approx. 79 minutes)

The Pad 7 Pro also uses the Xiaomi Surge G1 chipset, which optimizes battery management and promises a longer service life.
Audio and Accessories: Expanded Usage Options for Creatives and Professionals
Both tablets use a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio certification for impressive sound quality. According to Xiaomi, a 200% volume boost ensures an even more immersive audio experience.
There are also a number of official accessories:
- Xiaomi Focus Pen with 8.192 pressure levels for precise handwriting input and drawings
- Xiaomi Pad 7 / 7 Pro Focus Keyboard with backlight and adjustable angle
- Protective cases and screen protectors to complement the tablet
