Dual suspension for smoother rides
With the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Max, Xiaomi has, among other things, taken a look at the chassis and improved the suspension system. A double hydraulic suspension at the front and a double suspension at the rear absorb shocks and promise a smooth ride, even on cobblestones or uneven paths.
The 10-inch tubeless tires contribute to stability and minimize the risk of flat tires. In addition, the 909 cm² pedal surface offers more stability, while the 1.272 mm high handlebars enable an ergonomic posture.
Powerful engine with intelligent energy management
The 400 watt hub motor achieves a peak output of 1000 watts with fast acceleration and masters gradients of up to 22%. The top speed is limited to 25 km/h in line with road regulations. The driving behavior can be flexibly adjusted using three driving modes (Walking Mode, Standard Mode, Sports Mode).
The 48V battery promises a range of up to 60 km. Intelligent energy recovery uses the kinetic energy generated during braking to extend the battery life. The charging process takes 3 hours with a quick charger and 9 hours with a standard charger.
TCS traction control and smart lighting
The TCS traction control system provides better grip on wet roads by using a gyroscope and control software to prevent wheel spin.
Security features also include:
- Double brakes: front drum brake and rear electric braking system for quick and controlled stopping.
- IPX5 water protection for the scooter housing and IPX6 water resistance for the battery, so that rain or splashes of water cannot harm the scooter.
- Smart parking on slopes: A special function allows parking on slopes without stopping the scooter.
- Intelligent LED lighting: The front and rear lights turn on automatically when it gets dark, while new ambient light strips improve visibility and safety.
Smart functions and connectivity
As with other Xiaomi scooters, the Electric Scooter 5 Max can also be connected to your smartphone via the Xiaomi Home app. This connection enables:
- Real-time monitoring of speed, battery and range
- remote activation and locking of the scooter
- Automatic software updates
- Localization of the scooter with a "search" function that triggers light and sound signals
For added convenience, the scooter features an integrated transport hook to securely attach bags or smaller items.
