Significantly longer service life and fast charging
Instead of traditional lithium-ion cells, Jackery now relies on LiFePO4 batteries, which promise a significantly longer service life. Up to 6.000 charging cycles are said to be possible, while the predecessor's battery life was around 800. There have also been improvements in charging. Instead of 7,5 hours at a power outlet, the new version requires only about 1,3 hours.
More compact and lighter
At 5,7 kilograms, the power station is almost a kilogram lighter than the previous model. The new, flat housing (31 × 20,5 × 15,6 cm) features a foldable carrying handle, making the Explorer 500 v2 easier to transport and store. It can even serve as a small storage area when camping.
More connections and higher solar input
The ports have also been upgraded. Two AC outlets, two USB-C ports (100 W and 30 W), an 18 W USB-A port, and a standard 12 V output are available. The new version also supports a solar input of up to 200 watts, twice as much as its predecessor.
An additional innovation is the UPS function with a switching time of less than 10 milliseconds, which makes the power station also suitable as an emergency power solution.
Market launch with introductory offer
The Jackery Explorer 500 v2 is now available in the Jackery online shop and on Amazon. Initially, the power station is available for €319 instead of €499, including a free car charger.
