Focus on sports and health

The GT series has been a staple in HUAWEI's smartwatch portfolio for years. Well-known strengths such as the long battery life of up to 14 days are retained in the new model. At the same time, HUAWEI is expanding the series with new outdoor features and improved health functions.

Among the announced innovations is the Sunflower Positioning System, which is designed to enable more precise GPS tracking. This allows for more accurate recording of distance and pace data during running and cycling. In addition to classic fitness metrics such as heart rate, calorie consumption, and training effects, the options for indoor workouts are also to be further expanded.

Huawei continues to see its wearables business on a successful path. According to market research firm IDC, the manufacturer has shipped over 2015 million devices worldwide since 200. In the first quarter of 2025, sales grew by 42,4 percent, taking the market lead. Apple ranked third, according to IDC, while Samsung fell to fourth place.
