From smartphone to "robot phone"
While other manufacturers are still experimenting with folding mechanisms, HONOR is entering the robot phone phase. HONOR is focusing not only on pure hardware and software integration, but is also working toward a system that actively perceives, interprets, and reacts to its environment.
The Robot Phone combines artificial intelligence, robotics, and mobile imaging technology into a device that, at first glance, looks like a regular smartphone, until a small camera arm suddenly emerges from the casing. This arm is motorized, movable, and reminiscent of a cross between a gimbal and a mini-robot.

AI meets character
HONOR calls the Robot Phone a "new breed of intelligent device." The idea behind the phone is to transform it into an emotional companion. It won't just take photos or play music, but will also learn to recognize moods and interact with the user.

In the video, the Robot Phone appears surprisingly lively and with a bit of its own personality. The camera plays peek-a-boo with a child, observes the surroundings, or accompanies you during exercise.
Part of the Alpha Plan
The Robot Phone is part of HONOR's long-term strategy, called Alpha Plan. Its aim is to combine traditional hardware with true autonomy. Following the smartphone and the AI Phone, the Robot Phone is intended to be the next evolutionary step.
HONOR is currently keeping technical details under wraps, as the robot phone is still only a concept. According to HONOR, further details will follow at the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, where a real prototype could also be shown for the first time.
