 Update

In an interview with The Verge, Zhao announced that the new HONOR Foldable will be available in global markets including Europe in Q1 2023.

"We've made the decision that next year, in Q1, we'll bring our latest foldable smartphone to international markets, including Europe" - George Zhao

HONOR is trying to re-enter the European market. After the leisurely start with the HONOR 50 mid-range smartphone in October 2021, HONOR released the HONOR Magic 2022 Pro flagship smartphone at the end of May 4. The foldable HONOR Magic V was teased in this country, but the smartphone did not make it across the borders of China.

As part of the IFA 2022, George Zhao has now announced that the future foldable smartphone will be launched on the European market. The HONOR CEO did not provide any further details. The smartphone will most likely appear as the HONOR Magic V2.

Tipsters from China expect publication in Q4 2022. Then you can expect the new Magic UI 7 user interface, which will debut on the HONOR Foldable. The release period between HONOR Magic V and V2 would be less than one year. The European market will probably have to wait until 2023. The devices usually appear in the West a few months later.

The tipsters also gave information on the technical side of the next HONOR Foldable. The smartphone should be lighter, thinner and more robust. Among other things, the foldable hinge has undergone an upgrade. The smartphone probably gets its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

Oh, I'm curious. If they release it before Huawei, Honor could finally overtake them.
