HONOR 600 Lite: Design and workmanship

The design is one of the HONOR 600 Lite's most striking strengths. While many devices in this price range still rely on plastic, HONOR takes a different approach, using a unibody aluminum casing. This not only provides a more premium feel but also greater stability in everyday use.

A USB-C cable is included in the box. A charger is not included.

What immediately stands out when handling it is the weight. At around 180 grams, the device feels remarkably light despite its large 6520 mAh battery. This makes it very comfortable to hold and allows for extended use without fatigue, which is particularly noticeable when scrolling or writing for long periods.

The smooth surface and light weight also make it slightly slippery, which is why using a case is highly recommended. It is available in sprout green, desert gold, velvet gray, and velvet black.

In terms of build quality, the HONOR 600 Lite makes a solid impression. The casing feels robust; nothing creaks or gives way. This is further enhanced by its IP66 resistance to dust and water.

The camera module on this device protrudes only a few millimeters from the casing. This ensures that the 600 Lite hardly wobbles on the table and the back has a very clean look overall.

Deal alert: HONOR 600 Lite currently on sale

HONOR 600 Lite: Display

The 6,6-inch AMOLED display is one of the device's strongest features. With a resolution of 1200 x 2600 pixels, it delivers a sharp image that performs well in everyday use.

The 120 Hz refresh rate ensures pleasantly smooth operation. Scrolling through menus or social media feels particularly fast and fluid.

The display is bright and easy to read outdoors.

The HONOR 600 Lite also scores points for its maximum display brightness, ensuring that the screen remains easily readable even in direct sunlight.

Colors are vibrant, contrasts are high, and blacks are deep. HONOR has successfully implemented the typical strengths of AMOLED technology. A 3840 Hz PWM dimming function has also been included, which can be quite beneficial for those with sensitive eyes.

HONOR 600 Lite: Performance and Software

The MediaTek Dimensity 7100 Elite delivers good everyday performance. The system runs stably, apps open quickly, and multitasking works reliably overall, even with many applications running in the background.

Depending on the region, the smartphone is available in storage variants with 8 GB + 128 GB, 8 GB + 256 GB (our test device), and 12 GB + 256 GB. For typical applications such as messaging, streaming, or navigation, the performance and storage are easily sufficient. For demanding games, you'll need to reduce the graphics settings somewhat. However, this is not unusual in this class.

The operating system is MagicOS 10, based on Android 16. It features a modern interface, has a clean and uncluttered design, and offers numerous functions without being overwhelming. Software updates are planned for six years.

AI support is also a key focus of this HONOR smartphone. HONOR AI summarizes content, helps locate files, and adjusts settings on command. This can save time, especially in everyday use.

As an additional button, HONOR has integrated an AI button, discreetly embedded in the housing frame. This allows for lightning-fast camera launch and access to AI functions without having to navigate through lengthy menus.

Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC. In addition to dual SIM, eSIM is also available.

HONOR 600 Lite: Camera

HONOR 600 Lite Camera
On the back there are two cameras and an LED flash.

The 108 MP main camera delivers good results in everyday use. In sufficient light, it produces detailed photos with solid sharpness and natural colors.

Overall, the images are good, but there's still room for improvement in some shots. The main camera quickly reaches its limits, especially in challenging lighting conditions or with very high contrast. This became very apparent during nighttime testing.

Considering the price range, the result is perfectly acceptable. Those who primarily photograph in daylight will get a reliable camera. Those who like to shoot videos should be prepared for somewhat shaky footage, as there is no optical image stabilization.

The ultrawide camera is of lower quality than the main camera and should be considered more of a supplement. It's sufficient for occasional shots, but less so for more demanding users. The front camera delivers solid results for selfies and video calls.

HONOR 600 Lite: Battery and runtime

With a 6520 mAh battery, HONOR has installed a very generous capacity that easily lasts a full day even with intensive use. With moderate use, two days are also realistic.

This makes using the HONOR 600 Lite very convenient, as you only need to charge it infrequently throughout the day. It charges at up to 45 watts, which means a full charge takes approximately 80 minutes. This is decent, but not exceptionally fast. As expected, wireless charging is not supported.

CONCLUSION

The HONOR 600 Lite impressed in testing, primarily due to its suitability for everyday use. Its light weight, pleasant feel, and long battery life make it exceptionally comfortable to use.

The lightweight and slim design is particularly impressive, and combined with the metal casing, it feels more premium than the price would suggest. However, due to the rather smooth surface and light weight, a case is advisable.

The camera delivers good results with minor weaknesses, but is perfectly acceptable for this price range. The display is impressive, and the performance is easily sufficient for everyday use. Limitations only arise when playing demanding games.
