FlexiSpot BS11 Pro: structure
The FlexiSpot BS11 Pro is delivered in its individual parts in a package weighing approx. 20 kg. The parts are well and securely packaged so that damage in transit should not become a problem. One problem, however, is the amount of waste that accumulates after the parts have been unpacked. Sustainability definitely looks different.

A quick start guide (German) and an Allen key required for assembly are included in the scope of delivery. The assembly can be done alone, but it is not wrong to have a second person at hand, because the backrest is attached to the seat cushion overhead.
The assembly instructions are minimalistic. The scope of delivery is listed on just two pages and illustrated with pictures showing which part and which screw goes where. It was not immediately apparent how the armrests were attached to the seat upholstery, which is why I made my first assembly mistake.
Another problem was the sluggishness of the screws. These could hardly be tightened with the enclosed Allen key, which is why it is best to use the right tool right away.
After you have attached the armrests to the seat upholstery, you assemble the mechanism, screw the backrest tight, insert the gas pressure spring and finally place the chair on the base, to which you should first attach the castors. Now insert the headrest and after about 30 minutes the FlexiSpot BS11 Pro is ready for use.
FlexiSpot BS11 Pro: design and build quality
You don't buy an office chair for 469,99 euros (RRP) every day, which is why it should ideally withstand several years of daily use. As soon as you set it up, you get a good picture of the processing quality of the FlexiSpot BS11 Pro.
The manufacturer relies on a material mix of plastic and metal, with the proportion of plastic visibly dominating. Only the mechanism and the base are made of metal. Nevertheless, FlexiSpot guarantees a maximum load of up to 350 kg. And you can definitely trust the B11 Pro, because the plastic parts leave an extremely stable impression.
The mix of materials is also visually impressive. The office chair impresses with its modern look, in which the optical boundaries between office and gaming chair flow into one another. The seat and backrest show a self-confident line that FlexiSpot has cleverly combined with a subtle color scheme. The BS11 Pro is available in either gray or black.
FlexiSpot BS11 Pro: ergonomics and functions
Much more important than good looks is ergonomics when sitting. Before the FlexiSpot BS11 Pro, I used an IKEA Markus for years, which is still one of the most popular office chairs in the world in terms of value for money (179 euros).
I quickly got used to the switch to the FlexiSpot BS11 Pro, although the BS11 Pro does a few things differently compared to the IKEA Markus.

Both the seat and the backrest of the FlexiSpot office chair are covered with an elastic mesh fabric that adapts very well to the body. Compared to the typical seat pad, the mesh fabric is more rigid and the seating feeling is therefore a little harder.
A notable benefit of the breathable fabric comes to the fore on warm summer days. Perspiration hardly has a chance here. In addition, the chair is easy to clean.

There were no signs of wear and tear during the test phase, which lasted several months. Despite being used for several hours a day, the mesh fabric is still taut even today.
The seat and backrest are ergonomically shaped and promote an upright sitting position, in line with the natural S-shape of the spine.

For more flexibility, the FlexiSpot BS11 Pro offers four different setting options.
- Function 1: The seat back tension is adjustable
- Function 2: The height of the seat can be adjusted
- Function 3: The depth of the seat can be adjusted
- Function 4: 4-level adjustment of the angle of inclination of the backrest
The levers on both sides on the underside of the chair are easy to reach without having to twist. The two armrests, which can be adjusted in height, depth and angle, are also adjustable. Last but not least, the BS11 Pro has a headrest that can be adjusted in height and inclination and can be locked in place.

Finally, a few words about the rolling behavior of the FlexiSpot BS11 Pro. The total of 5 castors drive quietly and safely over hard floors and also get along well with carpeted floors.
