EcoFlow is showcasing its new energy ecosystem for Europe in Munich.

EcoFlow no longer wants to be perceived in Europe solely as a provider of individual storage solutions. At the European Launch Event 2026 at the BMW Museum in Munich, the company demonstrated its future direction: moving away from isolated balcony power plant storage systems and towards a modular, intelligently controlled energy ecosystem for apartments, houses, and businesses.

Under the motto "Solar Savings Made Simple," EcoFlow presented a whole range of new products and platform features. The focus was on OASIS 3.0, the AI ​​energy assistant EcoBot, the new STREAM 2 series, OCEAN 2 for larger home storage installations, and, with the A-series, energy storage solutions for commercial and industrial applications in Europe for the first time.

OASIS 3.0: The control center for energy in the home

The most important announcement was less about a single device and more about the new control layer behind it. With OASIS 3.0, EcoFlow is bringing the next generation of its energy management platform to Europe. It will integrate solar panels, storage systems, household consumption, electricity tariffs, weather forecasts, and connected devices into a single system.

Instead of leaving users to navigate curves, schedules, and menus on their own, OASIS 3.0 aims to automatically detect when electricity should be generated, stored, or consumed. The platform takes into account factors such as dynamic electricity tariffs, consumption patterns, solar forecasts, and the status of connected devices.

What's interesting is not just the automation itself, but also the transparency. At the event, EcoFlow spoke of a function that explains why the system is currently charging, discharging, or following a particular strategy.

EcoBot: Energy management via natural language

OASIS 3.0 is complemented by the new EcoFlow EcoBot. This AI-powered energy assistant is designed to significantly simplify system operation. Users will soon be able to change settings, create energy plans, or access recommendations using natural language.

EcoFlow aims to lower the barrier to intelligent energy management with this. Those who don't want to constantly navigate app menus or manually set charging times should simply be able to tell the EcoBot what to do. EcoBot is therefore less of a gimmick and more of a building block in EcoFlow's larger strategy to simplify energy management just like other smart home devices.

STREAM 2: The entry into the modular home energy system

For private households, the new STREAM 2 series is likely to be the most tangible product innovation. EcoFlow positions it as a flexible solution for different living situations, such as classic plug-in solar systems, households with an existing PV system without storage, and households that want to gradually grow towards a comprehensive home energy system.

The portfolio includes the STREAM 3000, STREAM 5000, and STREAM AC 5000. The STREAM 3000 offers 3 kWh of storage capacity, while the STREAM 5000 provides 5 kWh. The STREAM AC 5000 is designed for households with an existing solar power system. The system is complemented by expansion batteries, a smart meter, and a gateway.

The modular approach is crucial. Not every household has its own roof, not everyone needs a large storage system right away, and many want to start small. STREAM is designed to fill precisely this gap. EcoFlow also emphasized the compact design of the STREAM 5000. The vertically oriented storage unit requires little floor space and is designed to be more easily installed in apartments, basements, or utility rooms.

In addition to automatic modes, EcoFlow STREAM 2 also offers manual control options. Intelligent Mode is designed to regulate as much as possible automatically, Self-consumption Mode optimizes self-consumption, and Custom Mode allows for individual charging times. The Local Mode is particularly relevant. Even without an internet connection, the system continues to operate and remains controllable locally via an app. Cloud functions such as weather forecasts are then unavailable, but the basic functions remain intact.

In the event of a power outage, connected devices can be supplied with up to 3.000 watts via backup power outlets. EcoFlow also specifies 10.000 charging cycles, a lifespan of 15 years, and a 10-year warranty for STREAM.

OCEAN 2: More power for the whole home

While STREAM primarily targets entry-level and small to medium-sized residential situations, OCEAN 2 is aimed at households with higher energy demands. EcoFlow showcased single-phase and three-phase systems as well as OCEAN 2 Plus with outputs from 3 to 15 kW.

A new 8 kWh battery is available, compatible with existing PowerOcean and OCEAN 2 systems. This allows for flexible expansion of the storage capacity. According to EcoFlow, the system can start at 5 kWh and grow to up to 96 kWh. For larger PV systems, OCEAN 2 supports up to 24 kW of PV input.

OCEAN 2 is thus clearly designed as a whole-home solution, combining storage, emergency power supply, and intelligent energy management via OASIS 3.0. EcoFlow also highlights its support for more than 500 dynamic electricity tariff providers and the integration of over 35 smart home brands. This allows for the centralized coordination of energy generation, storage, consumption, and electric vehicle charging.

A-Series and Alps: EcoFlow enters the commercial sector

With its new A-Series, EcoFlow is also venturing into the European market for commercial and industrial energy storage solutions. The first product in the series is called Alps and is aimed at companies, commercial PV-plus-storage projects, and larger sites.

Technically, Alps relies on a DC-coupled high-voltage architecture designed to reduce conversion losses and improve efficiency. The system is based on modular 20 kWh units and can be expanded depending on the application. For commercial use, EcoFlow cites a stackable design, IP66 protection rating, and a multi-stage safety concept at the cell, system, and software levels.

OASIS 3.0 also plays a central role here. The platform is designed to take load profiles, electricity prices, and solar generation into account, while simultaneously enabling connection to virtual power plants and external energy management platforms. This area is less relevant for typical private households, but strategically important. EcoFlow does not intend to limit its platform to balcony power plants and home storage systems, but rather plans to manage larger energy infrastructures in the future.

Prices, market launch and Intersolar

At the event, the EcoFlow STREAM 5000 plug-in battery was showcased for Germany with an early-bird price of €1.299. According to EcoFlow, this price includes 0% VAT. Early-bird sales in Germany begin on August 12, 2026, with the official market launch following on September 15, 2026.

The STREAM AC 5000 plug-in battery has been announced for the Netherlands with an early-bird price of €1.399 including 21% VAT. Early-bird sales will begin there on July 15, 2026, with the official launch planned for August 15, 2026.
