3,84 kWh storage in a compact format
The STREAM Ultra X offers a storage capacity of 3,84 kWh, replacing two separate units from the previous STREAM series. Despite the increased capacity, the system remains comparatively compact. It measures 420 × 294 × 460 millimeters and weighs approximately 39 kilograms.
The housing is also IP65-rated against dust and splash water, and an integrated battery heater allows operation even at temperatures as low as -20°C. With an operating noise level of less than 30 dB, the system is also suitable for use near living spaces.
For households with higher energy needs, the storage capacity can be expanded modularly to up to 23 kWh without having to replace central components. The storage solution can be used both as a supplement to existing solar systems and as a grid-connected solution, for example, to temporarily store electricity during low-cost periods.
Power consumption via PV or socket, 2.300 W output power
In addition to the traditional connection to PV modules, the STREAM Ultra X also allows charging via the power grid. The AC charging power is up to 1.200 W, which allows for rapid recharging when needed, for example, at night or during dynamic electricity tariffs.
Four MPPT trackers, each rated at 500 W, are available for solar feed-in, which can together handle up to 2.000 W. According to EcoFlow, the system should operate reliably even in low solar irradiation. The maximum output power is 2.300 W, which can also power larger household appliances. Two AC outputs are available for this purpose.
Operation is possible both in off-grid mode and in bypass mode, which combines grid and battery power. The system is designed to comply with the 800W feed-in limit applicable in Germany. Excess power is not fed into the grid but used locally or stored in the battery. Therefore, additional registration or approval is generally not required.
Control via app and integration into the smart home
The STREAM Ultra X is controlled via the EcoFlow app, which connects via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. An integrated time-of-use function allows charging cycles to be scheduled, for example, to charge during off-peak times.
Additionally, the system utilizes AI-supported forecasts for weather conditions and expected energy consumption. In addition to seamless integration into the EcoFlow ecosystem, the storage solution is also compatible with smart home solutions such as Shelly 3EM, Shelly Pro 3EM, and Tibber.

Price and availability
The EcoFlow STREAM Ultra X is available now. The introductory price is €1.299 and is valid until September 15, 2025. After that, the regular price is €1.499. The matching microinverter is included. The warranty period is ten years.
