Compact design with dock
The camera can be magnetically attached to hats, helmets, or lanyards and is waterproof to 10 meters. It is complemented by the "Vision Dock" (72 g, IPX4), which serves as a remote control with a 1,96-inch OLED display, charging station, and data transfer device.
According to the manufacturer, the combination achieves up to 200 minutes of runtime in 1080p/24fps mode. The camera alone lasts 90 minutes in the same mode. In endurance mode, over 50 minutes are possible at 4K/60fps.
Image quality and modes
The 1/1,3" CMOS sensor (f/2,8) supports photos up to 35 MP as well as videos in 4K/60fps, slow motion at 4K/120fps, and up to 1080p/240fps. The 143° ultra-wide-angle lens offers a focus range from 35 cm. With a 10-bit D-Log-M color profile and up to 13,5 stops of dynamic range, DJI particularly emphasizes its post-processing capabilities.
Stabilization is provided by RockSteady 3.0 and Horizon Balancing (up to ±30°). Modes such as timelapse, hyperlapse, pre-rec, and gesture control round out the range of functions.

Comparison with the Insta360 GO Ultra
The Insta360 GO Ultra weighs 52,9 g and is slimmer but wider at 46 × 45,7 × 18,3 mm. It also offers 4K/60fps video, but also numerous additional modes such as PureVideo, FreeFrame, and loop recording. It captures photos at up to 50 MP.
In terms of battery life, the GO Ultra lags behind the Osmo Nano's 90 minutes, with 70 minutes standalone and 200 minutes with the Action Pod. However, DJI uses a lower bitrate (max. 120 Mbps) than Insta360's (180 Mbps). The Nano's advantage is 10-bit D-Log-M, compared to the Ultra's 8-bit.
Price and availability
The DJI Osmo Nano is now available:
- 64 GB version: 279 euros
- 128 GB version: 309 euros
The Insta360 GO Ultra costs around €429. DJI is positioning itself at a significantly lower price, albeit with somewhat limited mode selection and a shorter focusing distance (35 cm compared to approximately 30 cm for the Ultra), but with 10-bit D-Log-M.
