According to Bebird, the Earsight Ultra X is designed to solve typical problems associated with traditional ear cleaning tools, where users have no direct line of sight. Instead, the company uses a slim 3,6-millimeter endoscope camera that can be bent at 45 degrees and transmits live 4K images from inside the ear canal directly to a smartphone.
iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS are supported. According to the manufacturer, video transmission occurs in real time via a 2.4G or 5G Wi-Fi connection. Bebird also sees this as contributing to greater awareness of ear hygiene, as users can, for the first time, see what the ear canal actually looks like and when cleaning is advisable.
Safety features for home use
To reduce the risks associated with self-application, Bebird has implemented various safety precautions.
An integrated temperature control system keeps the probe at a constant temperature of approximately 36 degrees Celsius to prevent unpleasant sensations of cold. Additionally, an adjustable safety ring acts as a mechanical stopper to prevent the tip from being inserted too deeply.
The lens tip and the attachments are coated with medical-grade silicone. This soft material is designed to reduce friction and protect the epithelial lining of the ear canal.
Family use and interchangeable attachments
According to the manufacturer, the Earsight Ultra X is designed for use by multiple people. It comes with five separate sets of attachments, allowing each family member to use their own tools. This is intended to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
In addition to classic ear spoons, Bebird offers various attachments, including tweezers for hard earwax, different degrees of hardness for individual preferences, and special tips for dry and oily residues.
Since many users clean their ears too frequently or too intensively, which can irritate the ear canal, the set also includes an applicator for ear drops, which is intended to further support gentler care.
