Dangbei Neo
A special feature of the Dangbei Neo compared to many competitors is the integrated Netflix access, which has been officially licensed by the streaming giant. This allows users to stream their favorite Netflix content without requiring any additional devices or software.
In addition, the Neo also supports Prime Video and YouTube, with dedicated hotkeys for quick access to those platforms.
Instead of Android TV, however, Dangbei uses a proprietary Linux operating system that does not allow subsequent installation of Android apps.
Weighing only 1,42 kg, the Neo is designed as a portable mini projector. Its compact design allows it to be used in various environments, from home to outdoor scenarios. However, there is no integrated battery. A 19V power supply supplies the mini projector with power (90 watt power consumption).
In addition to streaming content over the Internet, the Neo also offers a range of connectivity options, such as Mirrorcast, which can be used offline, with which content from the smartphone can be mirrored onto the projector.
The Neo combines a 0,33" DMD chip with a 540 ISO lumen bright LED light source to project a native Full HD image of up to 120". In addition, HDR10 and HLG as well as around 90 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space promise excellent color reproduction.
Dangbei has also equipped the Neo with two 6-watt speakers and Dolby Audio certification to ensure convincing audio quality.
In addition, the Neo has intelligent functions such as autofocus, automatic keystone correction, intelligent screen adjustment and obstacle avoidance that are made possible by the ToF camera system.
The Dangbei Neo also supports Bluetooth 5.0, 5GHz Wi-Fi and Ethernet for fast and stable connections.
