Overview of technology and models
The Turbo Tower Pro is one of COSORI's newest air fryers. Instead of placing two baskets side by side, COSORI simply stacks them on top of each other. At approximately 41 cm high, 30 cm wide, and 40,5 cm deep, it may look bulky, but it fits easily on a standard countertop. A total of 10,8 liters of cooking space is available, divided between 4,3 liters on top and 6,5 liters on the bottom.

The lower basket offers an advantage that many air fryers lack. It heats not only from above, but also from below. This promises more even cooking, especially with delicate items like fish or batter. Both baskets can be controlled independently. Temperature and time can be freely adjusted. The temperature range is from 30 to 230°C, and the cooking time is up to 24 hours. The power is 2630 watts.
COSORI currently offers three Turbo Tower models. The basic version features Teflon coating and only top heat. The Pro and Pro Smart also feature bottom heat and a ceramic coating. Only the Pro Smart has Wi-Fi and can be controlled via the VeSync app. This allows you to start, monitor, and even adjust programs.

If you just want to get started, the standard version is sufficient. If you're looking for more control, a better coating, and app features, the Pro Smart is a better option.
COSORI Turbo Tower Pro in practical test
It's operated via a touch panel on the front of the device. All labels are in English, but COSORI includes small stickers for German. These serve their purpose, but they look a bit cheap and could fit in better with the rest of the design.
For even more convenience, you can control everything via the app. With the VeSync app, you can not only remotely start the Turbo Tower Pro, but also see the progress and receive a notification as soon as the meal is ready. The app also offers a small recipe database with settings that are transferred directly to the device. However, a user account is required to use it.

There are a total of seven programs to choose from, from air fry to grill to dehydration. If you often cook the same dishes, you can save your own settings. The Match function lets you copy settings from one basket to another, and the Sync function adjusts the cooking times so that both baskets are ready at the same time. This is especially useful for combinations like fish with potatoes or vegetables with meat.
My standard test is half a chicken in the bottom rack and a portion of fries on top. In the oven, the chicken usually takes around 50 minutes. In the air fryer, it's done in 35 minutes, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The fries brown evenly without turning, especially if you add a little extra oil.

I now also use the Turbo Tower Pro for breakfast. Baking rolls is significantly faster than using the oven. Eight minutes at 180 degrees Celsius is enough to bake the rolls until golden brown and nice and crispy. This is ideal for those mornings in a hurry. Because the Turbo Tower Pro uses two fans, it not only reaches the right temperature quickly but is also more economical than an oven.
When it comes to more delicate items like fish or dough, you'll notice the difference thanks to the bottom heat in the lower basket. The heat comes from both sides, which ensures everything cooks evenly. My muffins rose beautifully, and even yeast dough for cinnamon rolls turned out perfectly. They were fluffy on the inside and lightly caramelized on the outside. I would have otherwise used the larger oven for this.
Vegetables also work well, as long as you don't overcrowd them. Small portions with a little oil roast beautifully. However, if too much collects in the basket, moisture builds up. Then they steam rather than roast. It's better to divide the vegetables or work in two batches.

The noise level is pleasant. The two fans whir quietly, and even during a long drying program, they're not annoying. Compared to many other appliances, which usually only have one fan, the Turbo Tower Pro runs significantly more quietly.
Washing up is quick and easy. The baskets have a ceramic coating and are super easy to clean. Nothing burns or sticks, so a damp cloth is often enough. If you don't feel like it, you can simply throw everything in the dishwasher. The Turbo Tower Pro also seems well-designed for everyday use. The baskets sit securely, don't rattle, and the handles feel secure.
One thing to consider before purchasing is the height. At approximately 41 centimeters, the air fryer needs some headroom. If you have limited space in your kitchen or plan to place it in a cupboard, you should measure it beforehand.
