CMF Phone 2 Pro: Thinner, faster, brighter

The CMF Phone 2 Pro comes with updates we've been hoping for in its predecessor. NFC is finally on board, and a new quad-camera system promises advantages over the Phone 1.

The design remains handy at 7,8 mm thick and 185 g in weight. It's noticeably thinner and lighter than its predecessor, which still featured replaceable backs. The design continues to feature an industrial look, such as visible screws, a metal-look frame, and four new color options: black, light green with a matte glass look, white with a rough sandstone texture, and orange for those who prefer something a little more eye-catching. On top of that, it offers IP54 protection against water and dust.

With the Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G , produced in TSMC's efficient 4 nm technology, the Phone 2 Pro is expected to have It will be 10% faster and 5% more graphically powerful than its predecessor. Combined with the 5000 mAh battery, two full days of battery life are easily possible, according to CMF. Added to that is a 6,77-inch FHD+ flexible AMOLED with 1,07 billion colors, a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 1000 Hz touch sampling for extremely fast responses.

Camera upgrade with telephoto lens

The camera has also been upgraded, and the CMF Phone 2 Pro essentially uses the same camera as the Nothing Phone (3a). It features a 50 MP main camera with 64% more light capture than the CMF Phone 1. There's also a telephoto lens with 20x digital zoom, which is rare in this price range.

The camera system is rounded out by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 16 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. In practice, this means better light capture, improved details, and a true zoom feature where others only offer crop zoom.

At launch, there will also be an initial software update that will improve portrait quality, balance night sky videos, and stabilize 4K video recordings, among other things. Major software upgrades will be available for three years, and security patches will be available for six years.

CMF Buds Lineup 2025: Three new earbuds

In addition to the Phone 2 Pro, CMF also introduced a completely revamped audio portfolio. The CMF Buds 2 offer 48 dB hybrid ANC, Dirac Opteo sound tuning, and a Spatial Audio Effect. The CMF Buds 2 Plus are aimed at audio enthusiasts who want Hi-Res audio via LDAC, custom EQ, and personalized sound optimization. Finally, there are the CMF Buds 2a, a budget option that still delivers 42 dB ANC and clear sound thanks to 12,4 mm biofiber drivers.
