Three contact points are intended to distribute the pressure.

For a secure and comfortable fit, CMF uses a so-called 3-point clip design. This distributes the pressure across three contact areas instead of concentrating on a single point on the ear.

The flexible C-bridge has a core made of elastic titanium wire and is designed to adapt to different ear shapes. The ear cup sits outside the ear canal and is positioned to direct sound as precisely as possible to the ear. According to CMF, each earphone weighs 5,9 grams.

10,8 mm drivers, LDAC and Ultra Bass Technology

Inside, a dynamic dual-magnet driver with a diameter of 10,8 millimeters is at work. A sound processing technology, which CMF calls Ultra Bass Technology, is designed to boost the bass range, often weaker in open-back headphones, while simultaneously reducing distortion.

The Clip Pro earbuds are Hi-Res Audio certified and support the Bluetooth codec LDAC in addition to AAC and SBC. This allows for a higher data transfer rate on compatible Android devices than with the standard codecs.

The Nothing-X app offers various sound options, including equalizer presets, custom sound adjustments, bass boost, and spatial audio effects.

Sound Seal is designed to reduce crosstalk

A typical weakness of open-ear headphones is that people nearby can overhear parts of the playback. CMF addresses this problem with its Sound Seal System. This feature controls mid and high frequencies in particular to reduce sound leakage.

The Nothing X app lets you choose whether Sound Seal should be active only during phone calls or also during normal media playback. However, due to the design, complete acoustic isolation like that of closed in-ear headphones is not to be expected.

For phone calls, CMF combines four HD microphones with an additional voice processing unit. The Clear Voice Technology is designed to separate voices from street noise, wind, and other ambient sounds in real time.

Smart Dial on the charging case

A special feature of the Clip Pro is the Smart Dial on the charging case. This rotary dial allows you to adjust the volume, control playback, answer calls, and pair the headphones with devices, among other things. The smartphone doesn't need to be unlocked and can remain in your pocket.

The headphones also feature physical buttons. Some of their functions can be customized via the app. However, CMF has opted not to include wear detection. Therefore, playback does not pause automatically when a pair of headphones is removed.

CMF Clip Pro Case

Up to ten hours without the charging case

CMF states a playback time of up to ten hours per battery charge. Together with the charging case, a maximum of 32,5 hours is said to be possible. A ten-minute quick charge should provide power for up to four additional hours.

Additional features include Bluetooth 5.4, simultaneous pairing with two devices, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, and a low-latency mode for gaming. The headphones are IP54-rated for dust and water resistance.

Price and availability

The CMF Clip Pro are available in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Coral. The price is €79,95 in Germany and Austria, and CHF 69 in Switzerland.

The headphones will initially be available for pre-order via Amazon and, in Switzerland, via Digitec and Brack. The regular sales launch in German-speaking countries is scheduled for September 1, 2026.

With their comparatively low price, the Clip Pro headphones are positioned significantly below many premium models in the open-ear category. Whether CMF can impress not only with its striking design but also with sound, call quality, and long-term comfort will be revealed in a comprehensive test.
