Independent power supply has long been a bottleneck for mobile adventurers. Conventional 12V cigarette lighter sockets often provide too little power, so charging on the go usually takes place via the alternator while driving or, at a stationary location, via solar panels.
The new BLUETTI Charger 2 breaks with this limitation and is the first device in the industry to introduce dual charging technology that uses both energy sources simultaneously.
13 times faster than conventional chargers
The Charger 2 combines both energy sources, enabling a combined input power of up to 1.200 W. This is comprised of up to 800 W via the vehicle's alternator and up to 600 W via solar panels (limited to a total of 1.200 W).
According to BLUETTI, this charging speed is 13 times faster than standard car chargers. Power stations can therefore be quickly charged even while driving or stationary, drastically reducing dependence on stationary power sources.
Intelligent energy management and "Battery Link"
In addition to its function as a charger, the Charger 2 also acts as a central gateway for vehicle energy management. The so-called "Battery Link" mode can manage multiple BLUETTI power stations.
In addition, there is a reverse charge function that allows the Charger 2 to charge and maintain the vehicle's starter battery via the connected power station. This includes three modes:
- Emergency Jump Start: Quickly recharging a dead starter battery to start the engine.
- Trickle Charge: Low-current trickle charging for parked vehicles.
- Pulse Maintenance: Pulsed currents to maintain the battery and extend its lifespan.
Easy installation and upgrade path
The Charger 2 is designed as a user-friendly "plug & play" solution and is particularly suitable for larger vehicles such as SUVs, trucks, camper vans and motorhomes.
Even for owners of the previous model (Charger 1), switching to the Charger 2 is incredibly easy. Since the cabling infrastructure has been retained, the device can simply be replaced without any rewiring.
Technical specifications and app control
The device measures a compact 265 x 169 x 69,7 mm and weighs only 1,59 kg. It is designed for ambient temperatures from -20°C to 60°C and has an IP20 protection rating. The BLUETTI app (Bluetooth & Wi-Fi) provides complete transparency regarding energy flows, remote control, access to historical data, and CO2 savings.
Optionally, the Charger 2 can be expanded with the Hub D1 to provide an intelligent DC power supply for 12V/24V devices, delivering up to 700W of power via an Anderson port.
