Two resolutions for different requirements
The LK830ST offers native 4K UHD resolution with 3840 x 2160 pixels. The LH830ST relies on Full HD with 1920 x 1080 pixels. Both models utilize a laser light source with 4000 ANSI lumens of brightness and deliver color fidelity with 93% coverage of the Rec. 709 color space.
The light source is designed for a lifespan of up to 30000 hours in Eco mode, making it suitable for continuous operation. BenQ has engineered both projectors for 24-hour operation. IP6X certification protects the 3,4 kg, 279 x 121 x 229 mm housing from dust. Optionally available dust filter housings extend the protection for particularly critical environments.
Big picture in a small space
Thanks to short-throw optics with a projection ratio of 0.496, large screen diagonals can be achieved even at close distances. Image sizes from 70 to 300 inches are possible. The projectors are lightweight at 3.4 kilograms and comparatively compact, measuring 279 x 121 x 229 millimeters.
They can be mounted traditionally on the ceiling, but can also be used vertically for portrait projections or freely rotated for 360-degree setups. A vertical projection offset of approximately 115 percent allows for flexible positioning without obstructions in the image.
Smooth display for moving content
Both the LK830ST and the LH830ST support frame rates of up to 120 Hz. This makes the projectors particularly suitable for content with fast motion sequences. Simulation applications, interactive presentations, visualizations, and even gaming benefit from the high frame rate.
Precise adaptation for multiscreen applications
For multi-projector installations, BenQ includes factory-calibrated white balance values. This saves time on edge blending. Additionally, the 2D Keystone Correction and Corner Fit function help with precise image alignment, even on sloped projection surfaces or uneven walls.
Both models integrate seamlessly into existing AV infrastructures and offer connectivity options via HDMI, LAN, USB, and RS-232. An integrated Wi-Fi module enables over-the-air firmware updates without requiring physical access to the device.
Market launch and prices
BenQ's new short-throw projectors will be available starting in September. The LK830ST with 4K resolution is offered at a suggested retail price of €2399. The LH830ST with Full HD resolution starts at €1899.
