AWOL Vision Aetherion Pro unveiled: New triple-laser UST projector with 4K and projections up to 200 inches

AWOL Vision expands its home cinema portfolio with a new flagship: The Aetherion Pro combines an RGB triple laser light source, 4K resolution, and modern gaming features in an ultra-short-throw format. The projector is available now.

Up to 200 inch screen diagonal from a very short distance

As an ultra-short-throw (UST) projector, the Aetherion Pro can project images up to 200 inches without requiring the device to be positioned far from the projection surface. This makes the model particularly suitable for living rooms and home theaters where traditional long-throw projectors would have limited usability.

The integrated RGB triple laser technology generates the colors directly using separate red, green, and blue laser sources. This is intended to achieve particularly high color accuracy. AWOL Vision specifies a color gamut coverage of 110 percent of the Rec.2020 standard.

Sufficient brightness is ensured by 2.600 ISO lumens, while a native contrast ratio of 6.000:1, seven-stage IRIS control, and EBL algorithms are designed to improve the rendering of dark image areas. AWOL refers to this image optimization system as NoirScene II.

PixelLock and Anti-RBE technology

Also new is the PixelLock technology developed by AWOL Vision. This synchronizes individual pixels with exceptional precision, resulting in consistent 4K sharpness right to the edges of the projection.

Furthermore, the AWOL integrates a new anti-RBE technology. It reduces the so-called rainbow effect in 2D and 3D content by up to 99,99 percent, which benefits sensitive eyes.

The integrated RGB triple laser light source is designed for more than 25.000 operating hours.

Features such as Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and an input delay of up to 1 millisecond are supported.

Additional features such as Dolby Vision Gaming and a dedicated Filmmaker Mode with 24 FPS are designed to display both games and movies as faithfully as possible. For integration into a connected home, the projector also supports Google Home, Apple HomeKit, and Amazon Alexa.
