further development of the ATH-ADX5000
The ATH-ADX3000 is based on the ATH-ADX5000 reference model (2.190 euros) from 2017, but offers a more attractive entry-level price of 999 euros. Each ATH-ADX3000 is carefully handcrafted at the Machida (Tokyo) factory using in-house manufactured components.
Weighing just 257 grams and featuring a lightweight magnesium construction, the ATH-ADX3000 promises high levels of comfort even during longer listening sessions. The adjustable headband and velvety soft velour ear pads also contribute to the comfortable fit.
58 mm driver with core mount technology
The open driver concept of the ATH-ADX3000 ensures optimal air circulation, which reduces distortion and produces a pure, natural sound. The built-in 58 mm drivers precisely implement every membrane deflection without artificially emphasizing frequencies.
This design is based on the core mount technology that was first introduced in the ATH-ADX5000. The drivers are integrated directly into the baffle, which minimizes unwanted vibrations and ensures particularly clear and undistorted reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum.
Hiromichi Ozawa, chief developer at Audio-Technica, explains: "Our engineers have worked hard to ensure that frequencies that are not easily audible with natural airflow are transmitted. Our many years of experience in driver technology had a major influence on the concept of these open headphones, enabling us to achieve extraordinarily clean, precise diaphragm excursions."
availability and equipment
